Right? I thought I was missing something because at the end he almost ran into the guy. But don’t say that a little further up, get accused of being a pedo.
I support that dad getting the kid out of the drunks path to make it safer and more fun.
But yeah, I don’t get any hint of him being predatory here. Just sloppy.
Kid is not at eye level for him and the dad is. IMO, him moving further away is simply because he has an eye level visual of it. He ends up slightly overcorrecting and menacing more to the left.
Nothing reads like he’s trying to accidentally rub, or bump into the girl. Absolute worse case, I could see this as him not respecting women’s space and trying to be a bully…but I am stretching myself there tbh.
I definitely see it as bullying. She’s little and she’s not going to say anything about it. Ever see a kid alone in a concession line at a sporting event? There always seems to be an asshole adult who will take advantage of the size and cut them or talk over them or jostle them, etc. I’ve been that kid and we all probably have. Some adults simply don’t respect kids as people.

That's what I was going to say. He didn't get better at all, the camera just didn't follow him as much. You can still see him almost running into people multiple times
It's still better an uncoordinated man bumps into another man rather than a child. It doesn't have to be a male vs female or predator vs innocent thing. A child could get their foot stepped on or accidentally pushed, another grown man can handle that better.
He blatantly crossed her path at 12 seconds stayed in her path until 21s seconds when dad switched. He does not do that to dad. Go ahead and correct me if I am wrong.
Before the dad even switched position with his daughter, the drunk guy turned around, faced the other way, and seemed to be gesturing at people off camera.
He wasn't interested in that girl as much as you want to play that angle.
He is sloppy drunk before and after the switch. I totally understand that the girl was uncomfortable and was a lot happier to switch places. And I completely agree that the dad did the right thing by moving over.
And the drunk in question could very well be a creep and a pedo, but it's not like he straightened up and got sober after the switch. He is still a stumbling drunk.
