I’m surprised no one pulled him away from the group, I dont think people piss drink should do choreographed dance.

Yes buuut im a self aware drunk where id be doing the choreo but out on the side or agaisnt the wall. I know im clusmy person sober or drunk lol

1

u/EchoTheEcho 5d ago

That's why they specified "choreographed" dance.

u/Red_dit_Sucks_Ass_ 6d ago

But not enough confidence to be a pedo?

Just you

Dudes not drunk. He has a drink in hand, which is a shield from responsibility of acting in a normal fashion. He's laser locked onto the girl, focused action and "missteps" in exactly ways needed for closing distance.

Dont give people like this the excuse of drunkenness.

57

u/DoctorIsMyNick 6d ago

I dont think we watched the same video...

30

u/cwolf-softball 6d ago

Half of them I'm guessing never even watched the video. They just saw a ragebait title and a video still that showed a young girl and a guy with an emoji over his face next to her and inferred the rest.

10

u/RobutNotRobot 5d ago

The title is also a lie. It's just some drunk stumbling around trying to do a dance and failing. His spatial awareness doesn't change at all. I bet if the dumb happy face is taken off you can tell he's looking at his drunk buddies the whole time because he thinks it's funny.

The little girl is uncomfortable because a drunk is next to her being unpredictable.

1

u/Greedy-Penalty3440 2d ago

Yeah I’ve literally joined in one of these at a country bar And knew none of the steps and looked like a fool but it was funny and my wife laughed. I can’t believe people here’s first thought is that he was trying to violate a child.

9

u/Carnivorous__Vagina 6d ago

Reddit. They will get a bunch of upvotes like they are spitting facts when it’s all assumptions or fabricated nonsense

144

u/RWSloths 6d ago

Exactly, he is miraculously able to dance in his own space once it's another grown man there and not a little girl. He's not drunk, he's an asshole or a predator, or both.

38

u/moeterminatorx 6d ago

He’s still stumbling around throughout the video even when the dad is closer.

3

u/Maleficent_Hawk6703 2d ago

Yeah but he's suddenly able to not collide with the person next to him

2

u/TruckOk2767 2d ago

Yea this is why rapist rape kids, yall are giving way to much benefit of the doubt. Id rather look like an asshole and apologize if incorrect, than think this guy isnt someone to worry about.

31

u/CapableBumblebee968 6d ago

Seems like he almost bumped the dad too

12

u/itishowitisanditbad 6d ago

Yeah people are just making the narrative they want.

Its reddit

26

u/Professional-Day7850 6d ago

Doesn't look like that at 0:41

5

u/RWSloths 6d ago

Personally I disagree, the angle is kind if odd but it looks like while he gets kind of close there, he's definitely still in his own space in a way he absolutely wasn't with the little girl. He was ranging all over the place and actually physically bumping into her, but when her dad is there even with them being back to back he takes smaller steps and stays in his own spot.

"yea so today on reddit people were talking about how this guy looked like a child predator but i made sure everyone knew i thought he was just drunk."

14

u/Assspisss 6d ago

agree with the stupid angry mob or get burned by the stupid angry mob

-4

u/Compost_My_Body 6d ago

this is burning to you? by the anti predator mob? if laying out your argument makes you feel burnt, you might want to reflect on that

"so today, reddit saw a drunk idiot bumping into people and assumed he was a predator because he was a man"

FFS, he almost bumped into the dad, it's not like he was grinding up against her. Should he have been dancing? No, but it disappoints me how little grace we give people. If this had been a drunk chick bumping into a boy nobody would say anything except 'drunk idiot'

2

u/SpitzkopfRandy 5d ago

Because nothing except the title could be used as an argument for him to be a predator. If you have ever been on a festival or a party where people tend to get drunk you would know that at some level of drunkenness people are just going to stumble into your space like he did with the child, the dad and the row behind him.

3

u/The_Great_Distaste 6d ago

"yea so today on reddit people were talking about how this guy looked like a child predator. Then we found out who is and where he works and ruined his life by branding him a pedophile because no one spoke up about other very plausible possibilities in the echo chamber."

0

u/Compost_My_Body 6d ago

the key difference in our comments being mine happened

6

u/chopkins92 6d ago

Remember that video of that husband at that baseball game last week who everybody was so, so sure was a terrible person based on a 30 second clip and amateur lip-reading?

The same husband whose wife had to come out in his defence as a wonderful husband and father because he was receiving death threats?

When will you people learn?

2

u/Ppleater 6d ago

"Yeah so today i accused a random internet stranger of being a child predator and it made me feel sooo cool and based and people were telling me that i didn't have any evidence and that he was just drunk but i made sure everyone knew that according to my mental fanfiction i think he sexually assaults children."

0

u/Fr1toBand1to 6d ago

That's my thinking. Also, if it is some sort of perverted maneuvering, what's the end game? What perverted thing is that man gonna do in a crowded public area that an actual pervert wouldn't wait until later to do?

9

u/Ppleater 6d ago edited 5d ago

Perverts can absolutely do stuff in public areas, but there's no indication that this guy was doing or intended to do anything perverted based on just this 50 second video of him swaying too much while dancing.

1

u/Fantastic-Guitar-977 5d ago

Power, thats what. The power to make the little girl feel uncomfortable. I swear for some of you its your first day on earth!

0

u/Fr1toBand1to 5d ago

Ya ok. No holes in that logic

1

u/Fantastic-Guitar-977 5d ago

I guess youre one of those that think someone has to do something over the top like hit or grab or physically drag someone else in order for an interaction to be perverted, creepy, or predatory. Most of the time its weird little things like this, and its on purpose. See how many people here are writing this guy off as just being drunk? We can agree he has a drink in his hand and is dancing sloppily, but we dont actually know if hes so impaired hes falling on EVERYONE and not one specific person until he was caught. All I can tell you is as a petite 5" woman with a 6" partner ive encountered this type of behavior a LOT. Its never accidental, because just like in the video, the behavior ceases the minute he switches places with me to be near the weirdo. I guess thats all coincidence too!

16

u/Snipen543 6d ago

Maybe if you watched the video you'd see once he realized he bumped into a kid he stepped away. And then when the dad switched he had multiple close calls with the dad, more than with the kid. He's drunk at some adult event that clearly serves alcohol from all the people drinking. You're only protecting pedofiles by calling everyone who isn't one, one

-6

u/Compost_My_Body 6d ago

"something broke into this house and tore everything apart, i think it was a bear"

"you don't KNOW it was a bear. you're only protecting bears by saying that."

maybe people saying "jeez, that looks like a predator" don't need the but ackshually guy to say "you know he may not intentionally be targeting that little girl. it could be by accident."

society actually doomed it's nuts

1

u/cwolf-softball 5d ago

I cannot figure out what your point is supposed to be. Seems to be just nonsense.

2

u/cwolf-softball 6d ago

Stop it. Stop being this way.

5

u/Ppleater 6d ago

He still sways into the dad's space too. He's being a bit of a dick sure, drunk people are dicks sometimes, but there's zero reason to invent a narrative and assume he's a predator.

1

u/Snowskol 6d ago

I actually am curious how hes miraculously able to dance? he's stumbling throughout the entire clip. Hes 2-3 behind every turn and sometimes turns the wrong way. additionally even at like 38s or w/e towards the end hes facing the wrong way entirely

26

u/cwolf-softball 6d ago

You all didn't actually watch the video is what I can surmise here. He was stumbling drunk the entire time.

10

u/Ppleater 6d ago edited 5d ago

His face is covered so you have no way of knowing how "laser focused" he is on anyone. Drunk people do absolutely dance like this and do absolutely get into the space of others, especially children who are smaller and easier to not notice when inebriated. There's zero reason in this video to automatically assume malice over idiocy. He very likely has a drink in hand because he's at an event where people drink. Reddit will jump through mental hoops like starved circus tigers in order to accuse random strangers on the internet of being monsters based on a 50 second video of them being kind of a dick and swaying too far while dancing.

5

u/moeterminatorx 6d ago

You can’t possibly know that.

0

u/Showtime-V 6d ago

You grow up around the types and you get real familiar with them. Like how people who grow up in poor areas know how to spot a dealer or pickpocket in a moment. How kids with strict or abusive parents can tell when its a bad day from the way the car pulls up or a door opens. If you haven't been exposed to it, it hard to understand.

2

u/ProfessorWarts 5d ago

Actually insane that you believe this lmao

2

u/TheHighSeasPirate 5d ago

wth, 223 upvotes from you reaching so hard you'd probably fall over. Even when the dad switches positions the guy is all over the place.

1

u/NewRepair5597 6d ago

Not only that, but the drink brings out their true character. The drink is an excuse!

1

u/ManaSpike 6d ago

Then he didn't become more stable and join the line properly, he just changed targets.

1

u/Flat-Guava-1027 5d ago

Algunos tenéis problemas mentales y os imaginais cosas

-4

u/Jukeboxhero91 6d ago

Just look at how he’s dancing. His shoulders are square onto her any time he’s remotely facing her. He’s moving into her space, getting close right behind her. Guy was creeping super hard, and backed up immediately after they switched.

-5

u/littlescreechyowl 6d ago

Crazy how he found his own space when he was next to a man.

8

u/MisfitPotatoReborn 6d ago

He nearly bumps into the dad as well more than once

54

u/FlowerAlternative630 6d ago

This is a conservative gathering. For all we know, he covered up the face of the police chief's son. There might simply be no safe options for dissent.

19

u/beingforthebenefit 6d ago

That’s some wild shit to just make up

3

u/SocwokCyberBully 6d ago

critically think and ask yourself why the man who is either being, at worst predatory, or at best a fucking asshole to a child, is being protected.

3

u/Godfreys_Slippers 6d ago

Oh the irony.

3

u/AdminsLoveGenocide 6d ago

Because you'd be identifying a guy and calling him pedo even though he may well not be. You don't see a problem with that?

1

u/SocwokCyberBully 6d ago

I mean I said pedo at worst fucking asshole at best. Anyone who can't tell they're making a young girl uncomfortable needs to be held accountable.

2

u/AdminsLoveGenocide 6d ago

It could be as innocent as just dancing badly and you want to "hold him accountable"?

Jesus Christ.

-5

u/SweetTalkRiver 6d ago

Most of this thread seems to be people making up shit about how he's Republican apparently forgetting about people like Bill Clinton and Joe Biden

2

u/Loverstits 6d ago

What makes you think this is a conservative gathering? Line dancing is for everyone!

7

u/peanutbutterand_ely 6d ago

there’s always an annoying drunk person in the way of line dancing. when it’s not that hard to be out the way, if i don’t know the dance i practice syncing a bit to the side not directly in/blocking the line

1

u/PckMan 6d ago

Because while it seems to be obvious what's going on you can't actually prove it and people like him raise hell when confronted.

2

u/zeek215 6d ago

The guy being drunk is not the problem…

1

u/ProfessorWarts 5d ago

Yes it is.

2

u/zeek215 5d ago

No, it’s him trying to get close to the little girl.

1

u/ProfessorWarts 5d ago

He wasn't "trying to get close to the little girl"

You made that part up.

1

u/CeruleanEidolon 6d ago

Liable to start a fight with that crowd. They don't like it when you encroach on their personul liburty.

1

u/Accurate_Cellist1761 6d ago

It's not a group choreographed dance. If someone was just bad at this particular dance, should they also not be allowed to participate because it's "choreographed"?

-1

u/manwithlotsoffaces 6d ago

I didn’t know what to call it but line dancing is a better word

1

u/Accurate_Cellist1761 6d ago

My point is people are allowed to dance even if they're bad at it. This isn't a formal event.

0

u/manwithlotsoffaces 6d ago

If someone was drunk and bumping into people which might cause someone to get hurt, then yeah I’d probably pull him out. It’s not about him being bad

1

u/Accurate_Cellist1761 6d ago

He didn't bump into anyone.

0

u/manwithlotsoffaces 6d ago

He almost did, and regularly left his place in the dance, the way he walks, and the way he moved tells me he isn’t in the best state to dance.

1

u/Accurate_Cellist1761 6d ago

He didn't bump into anyone or harass anyone and he's allowed to dance. He doesn't look to be all that drunk either.

Listen I don't drink and I don't like drunk people because they tend to be obnoxious. I wouldn't say this guy is egregiously drunk and he didn't do anything other than be the victim of a Reddit headline.

1

u/NinjaChenchilla 6d ago

Would you do it?

-1

u/manwithlotsoffaces 6d ago

Idk probably if I thought he’d bump into someone and cause someone to get hurt.

1

u/mikcgn 6d ago

probably normal in this alcoholic society. Dads behavoiur says everything.

1

u/Fish_Mongreler 6d ago

Stay home then

0

u/jinxxed42 5d ago

He didn't once bump into the dad. clearly he wasn't drunk. Just using his drink for plausible denial ability.
