What is happening though I don't get it.

u/Briebird44 6d ago

He keeps trying to dance close to her to likely try to “accidentally” touch her.

I had a grown man do the same thing when I was like 10 at my sisters wedding and he touched my butt TWICE with a brushing swipe of his hand when he “danced” next to me. And it was intentional because I moved away from him and he followed and did it the second time. I told my mom and just got a “stop trying to cause trouble”

u/Jesikabelcher 6d ago

My dad would take us to bowling alleys as kids and I was the older one. Every time some dude from the bar would come over and try to talk to me, similar to the scene in Uncle Buck, my dad would walk over (he as like 6ft 3) and just stand there in front of us and the guy would get up and wander off... strange stuff HA!

43

u/Shinjetsu01 6d ago

This happens so often and it's always close friends and family. My uncle was always SUPER weird with my sister growing up - everyone always laughed off him being touchy feely as "haha that's just your uncle Arthur" but it was strange that it was only the girls and not the boys cos he was the same to my other female cousin but not my male one.

Anyway, nothing happened but it was fucking weird. He died when I was a teenager so I'm not sure if it would have ever manifested into anything else but yeah, very weird behaviour from family and it was just brushed off when it shouldn't have been.

47

u/PromiseToBeNiceToYou 6d ago

Fuck your mother. And the guy. My mom called me a liar.

25

u/Rocketeering 6d ago

gross. I'll never understand

42

u/StendhalSyndrome 6d ago

I mean it's clear the guy is drunk and doesn't know the dance and still almost bumps into the dad and is still all over the place.

I mean I dunno if that's straight-up pedo shit or dumb ass drunk shit as he clearly doesn't give the little girl much clearance and only does so a little bit when the dad steps in but he also could have just wandered off in the other direction, as drunks do.

Fuck pedos, but every single dumbass move around a kid I'm not sure, is someone wanting to fuck them, especially when a big ass dad is right there...give me some more context than under a minute I'd have an easier time judging.

8

u/MoocowR 6d ago

People are 100% reaching with him being a predator, he's wasted and obnoxious. He stumbles almost just as much next to the dad, and considering he's nearly twice the height of the kid it's reasonably to assume she was out of his peripheral vision half the time.

16

u/bigtime1158 6d ago

Looked to me like he was just drunk and stumbling.

-6

u/LittlePurpleHook 6d ago

Getting drunk just emboldens them to let their creepy pedo selves go wild. I've had to run away from a drunk guy who was harassing me while coming home from school at the age of 10.

15

u/bigtime1158 6d ago

This thread is reaching.

12

u/Apprehensive_One2384 6d ago

Reddit is becoming less and less tolerable for normal fucking people.

7

u/hattmall 6d ago

Yeah this is fucking stupid, pedophiles aren't out here trying to side bump into kids at a music festival. They are inserting themselves into positions of trust where they can have access to children outside of supervision.

1

u/-nutz 6d ago

Eh, are pedos trying to do that? Could say.

Is that what’s happening here? Clearly not.

(Not trying to argue or anything, I think you know a good point)

9

u/Necroban77 6d ago

Well that made me want to throw up.

3

u/Set_to_Infinity 6d ago

That's crazy, and I'm so sorry your mom didn't have your back. I once tore a guy to ribbons when I saw him give the pervy up & down to my then-13 year old daughter. I blasted him right on the spot, in front of a bunch of people, with, "Stop staring at my daughter, you creep. She's in MIDDLE SCHOOL."

1

u/Right_Preparation328 6d ago

Disgusting. One of humanity's worst evils

1

u/HazmatSuitless 6d ago

you need therapy

86

u/Amy47101 6d ago

They’re squaredancing. Drunk asshat was creeping on her. Dad noticed and swapped spots with his daughter.

31

u/mattyboy555 6d ago

Dude sobered up pretty quick then

32

u/nmezib 6d ago

I don't think so, definitely still stumbling around because he doesn't know the steps

20

u/Fakjbf 6d ago

In what way did anything about his movements change? I think he backed up a step or so when they swapped and that’s about it, he’s still completely out of sync and stumbling around randomly. This looks like a drunk guy who doesn’t know the steps, and possibly he was staring at her because he was trying to focus and not run her over. I’ve seen drunk people on the dance floor who looked exactly the same trying to avoid a chair. The dad did the right thing moving the daughter away but these comments are way too quick to label the guy a potential pedophile based on almost nothing.

6

u/SwordfishOk504 6d ago

It's such a good example of how suggestible people are and how groupthink works online, isn't it? He's clearly not hitting on this child, yet once that narrative gets set everyone just agrees and adds on.

This is not much different than how people would get hanged or tarred and feathered based on some rumours not that long ago.

2

u/tO_ott 6d ago

It’s kind of scary. It’s so fucking obvious and any rational person can see that, but these fools have worked themselves up into an actual frenzy trying to vilify this man. Mob mentality is just a bunch of stupid people doing stupid shit.

It’s like that Michael Jordan and the ice bullshit all over again.

2

u/SwordfishOk504 5d ago

Yup, and it is how witches got burned at the stake and how Emmett Till got beat to a pulp. This is, unfortunately, one of the traits of humanity. Mob think.

1

u/Async0x0 6d ago

You're absolutely right but who do you think you are to get in the way of a good social media beatdown? We need blood, we need to feel superior, and we need everyone around to see us take part in it. Shame on you for trying to take that away from us. The guy in the video was white AND male AND old AND southern... do you think he deserves humanity or grace or understanding? Do you think people like HIM deserve to enjoy drink and dance and music?

We're not here to learn or connect, we're here to judge and to feel better about ourselves by putting other people down. This video has just the right combination of factors to create maximum outrage bait and you just swoop in and ruin all the fun. What's this world coming to?

7

u/Crime_Dawg 6d ago

If he's creeping on a literal child, he needs to be sobered up by a fist to the face.

1

u/Grumdord 6d ago

He literally didn't though? Are people just imagining a scenario because OP wrote it?

1

u/nmezib 6d ago

Line* dancing, totally different shape lol

1

u/fitfoemma 6d ago

If that is truly the case, then that's fucking weird on the dads part.

Sees a guy creeping on his daughter, moves her and continues to dance?

1

u/ProfessorWarts 5d ago

Drunk asshat was creeping on her

No he wasn't...

He kept trying to bump into her and touch her. That's creeping. He stopped when it was a grown man next to him instead of a child

0

u/Snipen543 6d ago

If you had eyes and watched the video you'd see he stepped away when he realized he bumped into someone. And then had more close encounters with the dad than he did with the kid. Dudes drunk. Fucking Boston bomber shit going in here

44

u/jackandsally060609 6d ago

When you suddenly have no interest in the same spot because you're bumping into a man instead of a little girl it does become creepy .

16

u/Doom_Corp 6d ago

When you're actively trying to get close to them and practically falling on them so you have an excuse to grab them instead of I dunno...maybe taking a breather and realizing you're too drunk to dance right? Then yes. Yes it's creeping on a child.

6

u/BrovaloneCheese 6d ago

Right here officer

5

u/D_Simmons 6d ago

He's drunk and is having trouble staying within his dance lane.

18

u/OptimusTractorX 6d ago

Drunk dude thinks he's a great man getting in a little girl's way.

17

u/r3dd17sux69420 6d ago

He looks drunk and like he's stumbling around, and people are suggesting he stops when dad changes sides. even though it's plausible that the drunk guy just caught wind of his own stumbling

having someone who's his height next to him could help

or he could be a creep, but certainly no one actually knows. it's not stopping them from acting like it though

-8

u/Otto_Scratchansniff 6d ago

I’m not going to defend a man here because ugh, but on that last spin, you can see that he spun right into the dad and the touched. Dude’s piss drunk. He’s a weirdo for dancing that close to the girl though. Being drunk is no excuse for pedophilia.

14

u/creuter 6d ago

Jumping straight to pedophilia on this is so...extreme. He is plastered. It's possible that she's just not in his line of sight whereas the dad is. Like he doesn't see her because he's not looking down. He continues to be completely out of sync with everyone even after dad swaps spaces. Kudos for dad to giving the girl the space to dance, but labeling this guy a pedo for this is kind of a lot. He's a drunk and he's rude, but unless there's more to go on the Pedo label here is wild. Like maybe but you can't make an actual judgement on this video alone.

6

u/iwilldeletethisacct2 6d ago

He’s a weirdo for dancing that close to the girl though.

It's a tightly packed line dance my guy. There's absolutely nothing weird about this, including the fact that one person is too drunk to complete the dance. This is all pretty normal.

He has his back to the girl most of the time (because he's out of sync with the group), has no spatial awareness because he's drunk and stumbling, and keeps almost running into her because she's small and he's turning the opposite way of people.

0

u/AdFabulous8577 6d ago

I’m not going to defend a man here because ugh

Examine your sexism. This is a disgusting mindset and you should be ashamed of yourself. You acknowledge the guy's probably not a creep, then for some reason accuse him of fucking pedophilia???

45

u/CornballExpress 6d ago

Drunk man being drunk near child, possibly harmless, dad switched positions with daughter to avoid potential problems.

27

u/9mackenzie 6d ago

Except notice that he didn’t keep trying to crash into the dad, he moved away

45

u/bigtime1158 6d ago

He almost crashed into the dad at least twice.

20

u/AdHorror7596 6d ago

Yeah, because he could see the dad.

I know this is a weird comparison, but have you ever had a dog or a cat? It's easy to turn around and accidentally step on their tail---you don't see them because you aren't looking down. But if it's another person you live with, you turn around and you immediately see them. The dad is in his line of vision, the daughter is not. He's just not paying attention because he is drunk as fuck, which is rude, but doesn't make him a pedo.

1

u/Neosovereign 6d ago

I didn't notice that. I noticed he almost crashed into dad as well who is also bigger and easier to notice.

1

u/_SomeoneWhoIsntMe 6d ago

Because the dad is at eye level...

1

u/AdFabulous8577 6d ago

Except notice where the 7-foot-tall bull walks by in the background. Oh wait that's not in the video either.

1

u/ProfessorWarts 5d ago

Why are you lying?

8

u/sylbug 6d ago

There is a word for when people try to excuse pedo behavior in this manner.

We call it, ‘enabling’. You should consider why you feel the need to enable pedophiles.

6

u/hattmall 6d ago

Enabling it is calling everything under the sun being a pedophile and not actually looking at the real issue. Never heard of the boy who cried wolf. Calling everyone else a pedophile for innocuous actions lets the actual pedophiles blend in and avoid scrutiny. Side bumping into a kid in a public setting is not the MO of a pedophile.

8

u/surgeryboy7 6d ago

The only reason you think this guy is a creep is because the title told you what to think.

19

u/junglebunglerumble 6d ago

huh? Or people like you should consider why you jump to the most negative conclusion. Calling someone a pedo for this is so massively OTT

2

u/PalpitationHead9767 6d ago

Fuck off you should stop making huge proclamations off a short video of some stranger

1

u/AdFabulous8577 6d ago

There's this story you may want to read, it's called "The Boy Who Cried Wolf". You might want to have your mommy or daddy read it with you so they can explain the moral at the end.

-2

u/CornballExpress 6d ago

5

u/Ae3qe27u 6d ago

And "to avoid potential problems." The kid only goes up to the guy's hips. Could he be a creep? Sure. Could be he be drunk with bad peripheral vision? Sure. We aren't in his head, we don't know.

A guy has no idea what he's doing and reddit loves assuming everything is sexual assault of a minor and don't realize this is why reddit isn't taken seriously in the real world

4

u/irespondwithmyface 6d ago

Internet getting pitchforks with no context, automatically assuming the worst.

5

u/CucumberWisdom 6d ago

Dudes wasted and he can't dance straight.

-1

u/not_now_chaos 6d ago

Funny how he was able to "dance straight" when it was a big man in that space rather than a little girl.

6

u/Lord_Alonne 6d ago

He literally wasn't. Have people's attention spans really degraded to the point where you can't even finish the video? He actually bumps into the dad once and nearly bumps into him 2 more times beyond that. The dude is sloshed, not a pedo.

-1

u/not_now_chaos 6d ago

I watched the entire video, did you? He very clearly is not bumping into or standing in the way of other adults the way he was the child. I didn't say anything about pedophiles. The man is behaving in a very inappropriate way, but that doesn't mean sexual. He could just be a bully picking on someone smaller because he thinks he can get away with it. Either way and regardless, being so drunk that you can't control your physical movement around children is extremely inappropriate behavior and it's weird to offer excuses for that.

-28

u/SilverNeptuneAbyss 6d ago

A drunk dude is drunk and danced a little too close to a child

And reddit is flipping their shit

34

u/Binky390 6d ago

Notice how he was able to stay in his own space when dad switched spots.

6

u/RobertiesKillAll 6d ago

We found the drunk guys reddit account I guess

7

u/Atmaweapon74 6d ago

Was he? It looks he almost bumps asses with dad at 0:40. The guy is wasted.

0

u/butt-barnacles 6d ago

Men don’t seem to have the acute awareness of this behavior because most of them have never experienced this kind of behavior, being touched and bumped into “accidentally” on purpose. And for some reason they like to get really upset about their own ignorance.

0

u/Binky390 6d ago

That or they do these things themselves and don’t see an issue. It’s particularly common with older men in my experience. It was more tolerated when they were younger and seems normal to them.

-2

u/ProfessorWarts 5d ago

We've had people bump into us, lady. You're not special.

2

u/butt-barnacles 5d ago

Lmao exactly my point. You’re so unaware you can’t even comprehend what I’m talking about, can you. Thanks for proving my point for me lol

0

u/ProfessorWarts 5d ago

A man bumped into a girl when they were dancing. Get the fuck over it lmao

-19

u/SilverNeptuneAbyss 6d ago

Yeah.

Seeing what happened probably made him realize what he was doing.

You guys act like he was about to kidnap her or something jesus

14

u/whim_sea 6d ago

That’s not what we’re thinking he’s gonna do but ok

1

u/ProfessorWarts 5d ago

You people are literally calling him a paedophile...

1

u/whim_sea 5d ago

Yes.

0

u/ProfessorWarts 5d ago

So what DO you think he's going to do, genius?

-2

u/SilverNeptuneAbyss 6d ago

What are you thinking he's going to do?

3

u/Binky390 6d ago

He just wanted to touch her. It might not have even been in a perverted way and could have just been playful, but she was immediately uncomfortable. You don’t mess with kids like that.

0

u/whim_sea 6d ago

You have to be rage baiting. Take care.

4

u/MermaiderMissy 6d ago

I personally wouldn't take any chances, even if the guy wasn't trying to do anything. My daughter's safety comes before someone else's feelings.

6

u/Xanadoodledoo 6d ago

Likely the fullest extent of what he was going to do was to “accidentally” bump into her some more and be creepy. That’s still bad. He is a bad person for doing that. He doesn’t have to kidnap her for his actions to be bad and inappropriate.

-2

u/SilverNeptuneAbyss 6d ago

You guys are looking a little too much into this

1

u/ProfessorWarts 5d ago

A little?

-2

u/not_now_chaos 6d ago

Why are you running cover for someone whose behavior was, at very minimum, inappropriate?

2

u/SilverNeptuneAbyss 6d ago

I'm not covering for anyone.

I am explaining what happened

-1

u/not_now_chaos 6d ago

Oh, were you there? Is that you? If not, why do you think you have any more perspective into the events than anyone else?

3

u/SilverNeptuneAbyss 6d ago

I can see the video.

0

u/ProfessorWarts 5d ago

Were YOU there?

1

u/Binky390 6d ago

He should have realized what he was doing to begin with. If alcohol makes you play around with little girls, don’t drink.

0

u/Glum-Sheepherder-787 6d ago

The old man is trying to get the little girl to 'accidentally' touch his penis.
