On November 22, 2022, the city settled the lawsuit for $30,000.

I got stopped by a police officer for being at a disc golf course in a park in west Virginia. Finished hole 18 and on my way to my car (only one at the park) I noticed a cop car was blocking me in. Weird. When I was walking towards my car the cop got out and approached me. He immediately asked for my ID. I told him I'd comply, but what's the problem? He said "we get a lot of drug use in this park so I ran your plates and need to verify your registration." So I'm under suspicion for being at the park.

You realize delta-9 is the actual THC from the plant? Delta-8 and 10 are synthetic. Those are now banned.

Not disagreeing with any of the sentiment, but yes, addicts come from all walks and participate in all levels of society. I knew people that played Frisbee on heroin. And did many other things you might assume a heroin addict couldn't achieve. Every user isn't nodding off behind a dumpster like it's on the wire or something

the failure to identify laws are the problem.. you shouldn't have to identify unless you are suspected of a felony. that would make it very simple. too many cops use the identify laws to harass people to see if they can find out some other thing to charge you for and to get a reaction.

Apparently he’s supposed to be at work like a slave working 2 jobs to barely pay his rent along with two roommates.

We’re the land of the free but there are so many regulations in public spaces that you’re likely be detained or arrested on suspicion of anything.

The person who called the cops on him without first identifying anything dangerous is a part of the problem.
