The dog isn’t allowed to be around a toddler because he growls at her. I don’t get it. A family dog is supposed to get along with the whole family. Why are the parents concerned about why the dog “doesn’t like her”? What about the child’s safety?

Worked on an ambulance. Dog vs Child calls were always some of the worst. Kids ripped up and scarred for life, not to mention life long fear and ptsd around dogs. Family was always running around screaming that the dog never bit anyone etc. etc. Fact is that when a dog is the same size as a kid, they're usually looking at 'em eye to eye, which causes stress and anger for many breeds.
