Discussion This is a disaster waiting to happen.

The dog isn’t allowed to be around a toddler because he growls at her. I don’t get it. A family dog is supposed to get along with the whole family. Why are the parents concerned about why the dog “doesn’t like her”? What about the child’s safety?

My sweet pibble only drinks the blood of the innocent, I walk it by the playground three times a day just so he can smell the terror in the children.

71

u/_Mike-Honcho_ Aug 25 '26

Brave pibble swam out into a surging sea and waves to bite a drowning child.

66

u/a57782 Aug 25 '26

One day, when he has consumed enough blood of the innocent, he'll form an unholy cocoon and emerge in his final form. No longer will he need blood to sustain him, he will consume their terror. The blood, will merely be for fun.

1

u/PrincessTitan Aug 25 '26

Why is everyone’s dog named pibble?! 😂

39

u/edarcy1985 Aug 25 '26

it’s a stupid nickname for their pitbulls

2

u/PrincessTitan Aug 25 '26

Thanks. It’s always these really weird ghetto wannabes that have “Pibble” as a name and I’m finding it dumb and not creative

13

u/dinnerthief Aug 25 '26

Its just a nickname people use for the breed, like Weiner Dog is a nickname for Daschund. Usually its not the individual dogs actual name

Or debone ? Dogs like bones though..

3

u/Beneficial_Potato_85 Aug 26 '26

But THEIR pitbull is just a big old softie who thinks it's a lap dog. They only go into kill-mode when they hear unexpected loud noises which kids are never known to make. In short, their bread to be an aggressive killer pitbull would never maul a family member.

5

u/Friendlyalterme Aug 25 '26

You jest but there are people who unironically choose the pet over the kid

1

u/Magikpoo Aug 26 '26

I can see a baby would choke on a Dangerous baby's bones, i recommend a BBQ that char broiled grill marks might add that extra flavor they need for healthy bones and teeth. allegedly.

Disclamer:

1

u/goldenskyhook Aug 26 '26

I thought it was only cooked human bones that presented a choking hazard!

1

u/Super_Mag Aug 26 '26

Raw bones are fine for dogs to eat, cooking makes them brittle and can cause harm. Dog should be fine. boomerfinger

In USA they care more about being able to buy guns online than they do about the kids who get shot and die from people who buy guns online.

And they elected a pedophile president.

They don't give a F about children's wellbeing. It is not a serious country.

301

u/Internet_Wanderer Aug 25 '26

Only while they're in the womb. After that they can get fucked /s

41

u/AdditionalNothing728 Aug 25 '26

Naw, they still don’t care about the child. It’s a prop. The goal is to punish women for exercising autonomy.

9

u/Any_World7744 Aug 25 '26 edited Aug 25 '26

Yea, so true!

There is NO focus from this party on laws or legislation to benefit or protect children or their quality of lives, the focus has been around laws to control women’s personal health choices and punish women who do not comply

Under the party that protects pedophiles, Many American born children are being deported or imprisoned if their parents are not American born

Plus SNAP cuts , early education cuts…all of it runs in complete opposition to child welfare

6

u/AdditionalNothing728 Aug 25 '26

“If you're pre-born, you're fine; if you're preschool, you're fucked.”

2

u/Any_World7744 Aug 25 '26

Yeah, that’s the bulk of the issue.
But in some cases, even if the child is born in the states , if the mother is not, Young American is deported:

57

u/LeonidasSpacemanMD Aug 25 '26

If we could just figure out how to get bootstraps into the womb we could stop caring about them there too

25

u/Aggressive-Neck-3921 Aug 25 '26

No this is way to convenient the conservatives will never allow that. They are just the most perfect group to advocate for, they have no voice or opinion and once they are out the no longer matter.

11

u/_Mike-Honcho_ Aug 25 '26

“The unborn” are a convenient group of people to advocate for. They never make demands of you; they are morally uncomplicated, unlike the incarcerated, addicted, or the chronically poor; they don’t resent your condescension or complain that you are not politically correct; unlike widows, they don’t ask you to question patriarchy; unlike orphans, they don’t need money, education, or childcare; unlike aliens, they don’t bring all that racial, cultural, and religious baggage that you dislike; they allow you to feel good about yourself without any work at creating or maintaining relationships; and when they are born, you can forget about them, because they cease to be unborn. You can love the unborn and advocate for them without substantially challenging your own wealth, power, or privilege, without re-imagining social structures, apologizing, or making reparations to anyone. They are, in short, the perfect people to love if you want to claim you love Jesus, but actually dislike people who breathe. Prisoners? Immigrants? The sick? The poor? Widows? Orphans? All the groups that are specifically mentioned in the Bible? They all get thrown under the bus for the unborn.”

Isn't this a late comedian's bit, something carlin i don't remember specifically.

1

Sounds like something George Carlin would say. He was so great, we could really use him now. He would haaate to see what’s going on today, but he wouldn’t be surprised.

Or… for their other disgusting “hobbies” 🤮

11

u/LordBoar Aug 25 '26

Nah, they still don't care about the kid - it's about control through that biological process for the parent, both long term and short term.

3

u/Nomstah Aug 25 '26

Once they are born they are a plague to society because they are mooching off the government.

3

u/Spearmint_coffee Aug 25 '26

They don't even care that much about the fetus itself with how expensive prenatal care is. They only care about a pregnancy continuing no matter what.

My community was the only group in the U.S. to vote overwhelmingly against the pedo, and 92% of my demographic in particular voted against Agent Orange. Unfortunately, we don’t make up enough of the population to make a difference.

It’s especially upsetting because we knew we’d be disproportionately harmed by this administration, but the rest of the country didn’t care. Now we’re getting the shittiest end of a stick we never wanted in the first place. And on top of that, the rest of the world lumps us in with the idiots who put us all here.

British people who voted against Brexit: first time?

15

u/CassielAntares Aug 25 '26

Sadly no, we dealt with this shit at a slightly reduced rate 10 years ago.

14

u/theswissghostrealtor Aug 25 '26

We’ve been dealing with this horrific monster since 2016/2017. Brexit happened in the same time frame.

14

u/DelcoUnited Aug 25 '26

No. It’s America’s second time.

3

u/deathcabscutie Aug 25 '26

Valid. I remember reading a piece about a fisherman who felt Brexit was destroying the fishing industry. He felt betrayed and worried about his livelihood and said most fishers felt the same way. Later I read that Brexit was harming nearly every industry.

34

u/Tasty-Jump-2011 Aug 25 '26

I still don't understand why everyone against Trump decided to tacitly accept the narrative that Trump won a majority of the votes. That election was sketchy as fuck even if the Democratic candidate was garbage.

"We're in the minority" is nonsense. The vast majority are desperate for anybody to lead them if they will just show the slightest sign they actually intend to change anything.

13

u/Even_Lychee4954 Aug 25 '26

I tried to say that and someone attacked me for saying that. Like even Elon confirmed it himself.

9

u/edm_enjoyer Aug 25 '26

Are you a Black woman? I think it was black women who voted 92% for Harris

9

u/teasandflicks Aug 25 '26 edited Aug 25 '26

Hey, I get it. Since I'm a white woman living in a red state, the assumption is that I voted for him too. And as USAmericans, we all get lumped together as vermin by other countries. It's really hard not to start seeing what I had considered "my side" as the controlled opposition, because many many many many many civilians loved Kamala. He only won by 33% (IF he won). Same % as Hitler.

4

u/Educatethemasses2099 Aug 25 '26

Slightly less, 32%, so not even 1/3 of eligible voters. 64.3% turnout and neither candidate got a majority of popular vote: 49.8% to 48.3%

2

u/keldondonovan Aug 25 '26

Not getting majority, but winning, should either A.) Toss both candidates and start again.

B.) congratulations, you've won "president jr" where most of your power (anything with lasting impact) is turned over to either Congress or the Senate where a 2/3rds majority vote is required to do what a regular president could do with the wave of a pen. No executive orders, no veto power, no appointment of judges, no deploying weaponized troops, et cetera. Best you can do is call a meeting of the people who actually make that choice.

Or for a wild idea: C.) third place wins. First and second got enough screen time and advertising space that everybody KNOWS what they stand for, and absolutely nobody didn't vote for one of the two party candidates because they didn't think they'd be able to beat the other guy. Conversely, lots of people don't vote 3rd party even if they love that candidate because they need to beat the candidate they think is worse, and they think the two party option is the only way to do it. This would negate that entirely, and probably end up destroying something, but it's a neat idea to think about.

1

u/teasandflicks Aug 26 '26

Jon Ossoff is very lovable. He wouldn't require the choice of lesser evil

1

u/keldondonovan Aug 26 '26

Never heard of him. Which is kind of my point about the two being the only thing covered.

1

u/teasandflicks Sep 03 '26

Then my point would be that your algorithm is keeping you in the dark

1

u/keldondonovan Sep 03 '26

And that goes well with my point: I shouldn't need an algorithm to line up just right to learn about a candidate. The Republican nominee and the Democratic nominee are shoved down my throat regardless, and if I want to know more I can tune into a debate. Without my algorithm lining up or coming prepared with a key thing to look for, other candidates do not come across my view.

The two party system is a bad system that leads to extreme radicals on both sides as they shove the opposition further and further away from neutrality. We need new options, and that requires those new options having visibility.

When I visited another country last year, I told them (locals that gave me "that American" look) I took my vacation there as a protest because I'm not spending my expendable dollars in the US for my vacations.

1

u/teasandflicks Aug 26 '26

I'm a hearing aid specialist in a warm snowbird state. When my clients told me their Canadian friends weren't going to come anymore, I said "good for them." The US lost over 8 billion in 2025 because of the 5.5% drop in tourism. Most of the international drop came from Canada, Latin America and Western Europe, but a lot of the state snowbirds chose blue states to vacation to. Since you chose another country for your vacation, it sounds like you are fully aware of this! As for my past year and a half, I've spent nothing on vacation in the US other than on campground sites. AND I'm going to China this October 🤭 But that's a whole other topic to rile people up!

1

u/last_rights Aug 27 '26

I would absolutely support campground sites too because I think we should support public spaces and the outdoors. I buy the national and state parks passes every year, and I know the money goes directly to them.

1

u/teasandflicks Sep 03 '26

Yes! Campground sites are never a waste to pay into!

13

u/UpsetiTrash8335 Aug 25 '26

Appreciate that vote against Agent Orange 🧡 My husband and my son have dioxin poisoning from AG, its a terrible condition thst still exists (it spreads herititarily from initial exposure) and its not spoken about nearly enough. It's gonna take centuries to clean up this administration's mess

2

u/Tomboycritic Aug 25 '26

As a Minnesotan, I deeply feel this. We will never be the same after metro surge.

3

u/No-Idea-7003 Aug 25 '26

2

u/1EyesOpen1 Aug 25 '26

I highly doubt your community was the only one to overwhelmingly vote against him. There are many democratic strongholds throughout the country.

7

u/PaleontologistOk3120 Aug 25 '26

You're excused lol. We have the voting demographic information. We held at 92%. Our male counterparts were the second closest I think around 70% ish. The rest barely got past 50%. It's wild that you get on here so strongly wrong

That’s a very good point. It reminds me of woman that were married to serial killers and had no idea. A Libertarian is just a conservative that likes to smoke weed.

3

u/TCB4EAP Aug 25 '26

That’s always been the case that there are dangerous people. And, you don’t have to be a neo nazi or gang member from Chicago to be dangerous. There are a lot of “normal” appearing people that will mess you up.

The general public has absolutely no idea how many parolees are on the street. Situational awareness and a heavy dose of skepticism are your friends.

3

9

u/mriodine Aug 25 '26

You can’t buy guns online here. That is not a real thing. You can have them shipped to a licensed FFL, and then complete the background check and paperwork at the FFL. You cannot get a gun shipped to your door.

As an American can confirm, we have this weird cultural affinity for things that are shown to be unnecessarily dangerous or risky. And the more rigorously it’s shown to be dangerous, the more we lash out trying to protect our “right” to that thing, because now the elitist educated population is coming for our rights

It’s the cultural equivalent of the child who wants to play with the scissors even more because you told them they shouldn’t play with scissors

2

u/mentaIstealth Aug 30 '26

Darwin awards, I say we remove all warning labels as well

4

u/pipnwig Aug 25 '26

This is what I've been saying in other threads. Like, I cannot wrap my head around the complete and utter lack of planning that leads to this scenario where this dog is either going to be euthanized for attacking that child, or will be abandoned in a shelter and euthanized alone.

My husband and I adopted two dogs who we discovered were not child friendly, and do you think we immediately ditched the birth control? Having a child should never be an impulse decision, and when you have a dog, one of the factors to consider is how does my dog interact with children? If the answer is "poorly," wait a few years for them to die. It's really the least these parents can do.

That being said, if having a child was so important that they couldn't wait, don't adopt a dog yet. Shelters also test dogs' personalities so they could've adopted a dog that the shelter knows is child-friendly and has experience being around children. Like... why are parents nowadays so incompetent? This entire situation could've been avoided with the barest amount of forethought but it's like they don't even bother thinking about it.

5

u/ario62 Aug 25 '26

I mean, rehoming is also an option. This dog clearly isn’t trained and shouldn’t be around small kids. Who knows what could set it off.

5

u/pipnwig Aug 25 '26

Unfortunately, this is a pitbull. The shelters are full of them because this happens all too often and they're not exactly in high demand. This dog will be euthanized one way or another. Prevention is infinitely better than reaction.

2

u/ario62 Aug 25 '26

Oh absolutely. I meant as opposed to waiting for the dog to die before having kids.

1

u/mdynicole Aug 25 '26

Personally we just don’t get pit bulls . I’ve seen too many cases where the owners have had the pits since puppies and they’ve been around the kids their whole lives and been fine and one day just snap and attack the kids. We have a boxer because they’re known for being great with kids and he really is. I still don’t leave him alone with my youngest just to be safe but worst he does is try to jump up on you to play.

1

u/pipnwig Aug 25 '26

I understand. I really do. I don't have a pitbull either. I have a mini aussie. You never know when a "friendly" dog is going to end up with an irrational fear of something despite all your best efforts, and our boy is uncomfortably anxious around children. I don't trust him unsupervised either. But now we're going to wait another year or two to start a family because that's how long the vet thinks he has left. It's really not that hard.

2

u/mdynicole Aug 25 '26

That sucks . I’m sorry he only has a year or two left but having a baby is really exciting. That must be really bittersweet but it sounds like you’re really thoughtful and responsible.

1

u/pipnwig Aug 25 '26

Most of the functioning of society is an agreement of an illusory concept that has no theory of agency and only facilitates itself. Bringing children into the world is just another scheme.

1

u/observantmania Aug 25 '26

How do you know that?

1

u/cech_ Aug 25 '26

Glad the parent made the video though so when the dog attacks the kid hopefully by knowingly exposing the child to the danger over time will show incompetence and get them some jail time versus the parents that have dogs that just have one bad day. Everyday looks bad with this pooch.

I mean, you don’t know how your pet is going to react till the kid is born and it’s a bit late to turn back at that point. Sometimes a dog can be great with kids outside of the home but have issues with kids at home. Sometimes they just don’t like that particular kid. Maybe she’s asking because she or someone else has suggested getting the dog re-homed and were met with people saying no and arguing that “they’ll get along eventually” and “how could you get rid of your own dog????” People always like to have strong opinions and assume their viewpoint is correct, even if they don’t have as much information/experience.

The opening scene of the movie "Idiocracy" would explain a lot for you

It's not like a license is required to have children and most people are dumb as fuck.

They're probably using the dog for breeding too . . . otherwise there's no upside/profit in keeping it. . .

I live here and you aren’t cool unless you have a pitbull and no life experience.

They’re breeding in a world of misinformation and shame. Too many people tell them “it can be trained out” and “giving up your dog is the same as giving up a child!”

Yea and then they cry when their child is killed by their pitbull. This is just one example: https://abc11.com/amp/post/pit-bull-attack-nc-toddler-dies-dog-rocky-mount/19305559/.
