I think there's room in the market for a back to basics car company that takes out all this bs, goes back to crank windows and all that crap and sells new vehicles for an affordable cost with a good warranty.

It would probably crush today.

Edit: I got like 400 responses saying "slate" ok I get it you can stop

There are quality affordable Chinese EV’s that the USA government has blocked from being sold there. The USA is a corporate monopoly.

They don't meet the safety standards required in US.  There are like 6 options in the US for under $25k and no one is stopping anyone from buying them.   Most people just want the better more expensive stuff.

Source? A BYD Atto 1 gets a 5 star ANCAP/NCAP rating. Would be about $14k USD
