It's either a bit, or the guy might be on the spectrum. I've known people like this, though most of them aren't getting invited to a girl's place for tea, so there's that.
The yelling of “how do you know that?” Tells me this guy is just a door nob socially. Didn’t want to tea, so he said no. Thats clear as day in his head but most normal guys that like the girl but don’t like tea, would just go suffer through some tea.
Nah man even if it’s a bit, the story is very relatable. Lots of people have had those kinds of interactions or “missed” signals.
A couple years ago I got to catch up with an old high school crush and I basically asked her about if we could have been a thing since we talked so often and hung out so often and she confirmed she waited for me to ask her out lol.
The cool thing is I dodged a bullet anyways cause she’s crazy.
