Vote for a potential 5k from the U.S. government, and there will literally be no recovery from that. Every future election will be "won" in the same way until the treasury is emptied. I mean, assuming you weren't already alarmed by Trump's blatant attempt to buy voters, this should still alarm you. There is literally only one way you can vote for the future of our country. The alternative is not a vote for our future at all because there will be no future.

I almost want them to win so they have to be held accountable for the 5k payout and watch the excuses they make to avoid it

"Buying" votes is nothing new. Whether it is directly or indirectly it's just how things work. "Vote for me and I will do X for you" is pretty much the baseline at this point.

Did some podcaster trying to get views tell you that story? Meanwhile, Trump has pardoned dozens of actual giant fraudsters who paid him off with a donation, scamming millions of people out of hundreds of millions of dollars. Still no evidence or arrests coming out of all those stories of immigrant fraudsters Nick Shirley invented, however. Because theyā€™re telling you want you want to hear, not reality.
