UK Need a phone not more than $300

I just can;t rationalize it for my self paying more. SomIwas thinking maybe just get a 2025 model where the price dropped making room for the new 2026 phones. I like a big screen, Gorrila glass since I drop the thing everywhere. A good camera that hopefully can take better pics at night than my Samsung A32 G. Fast, reliable usual stuff. Updates at least a few left, battery life

And I have to decide really soon since I am travelling to the UK in 5 days from the USA and pretty much have no phone lol

Thanks for your time. Appreciate it!

this, or even the S23 - refurbs provide the best value in that range and the S23/24 are amazing phones

that's fair - maybe look at the moto edge 2024 then, it's currently discounted to $250 and comes with free motorola buds 2: https://www.motorola.com/us/en/p/phones/motorola-edge/edge-gen-5/pmipmgm36mw (I have one as my secondary phone and it's great - the display and speakers are great, cameras are ok, and it's pretty snappy)

The best fit for that criteria, in my opinion, is probably Nothing. Large screens, solid cameras, nice software, pretty fast and reliable for most uses... Not sure about durability though, you might have to read up on that one...

if OP is using Verizon, Nothing won't work. last year's Moto Edge or an s23+ would be best. if OP has AT&T or T-Mobile then Nothing is definitely the best choice.

I actually wanted to go to the prepaid carrier visible by verizon.

I have visible and it works great. there are only 4 brands which work on their network, Apple, Samsung, Google, and Motorola. they have great deals on moto devices sometimes. a month before the edge 2026 came out you could get an edge 2025 for just $355 brand new.

since you need a phone right now I would suggest looking for a moto edge 2025 on Amazon renewed or something.

Unfortunately in the States only the more expensive 4a Pro and 3 are available

My comment never mentioned an iPhone... all I said is that no Nothing Phone under $300 is available in the US.

Also, what's with the iPhone hate? It's just a phone, I don't see the reason to give up phones to avoid using one. I was a diehard Samsung flagship guy / iPhone hater for a long time but I actually ended up liking the iPhone a lot more than I expected. If you've never tried one maybe don't make such extreme comments about them

that's unfortunate because a lot of people own iphones... here in the States 60% of smartphone users own one. Based on your post history you live in the US so you must walk away from a LOT of people.

You can dislike iphones but I don't see any value in refusing to associate with individuals who use one. It's not that deep... it's just a phone and most people just choose what they grew up with / their carrier had when they got a phone. At that point you aren't even picking sides, that's just discrimination.

A phone is just a tool and it seems people don't treat them that way. Hell you started to attack me just because my user flair mentions an iphone...
