Curseborne In Curseborne are the Fae going to be playable?

I'd like to preface this by saying only up to the descriptions of each lineage in the first chapter of Core Book. I know I should probably finish reading before asking this question. But I'm a bit impatient. And I do feel a self conscious asking it. So based on my interpretation of what I heard the Fea would be playable in later supplements. And based on said interpretations I thought this supplement they would be introduced to would be covenant, But there seems to be five new playable families that are evil (or eviler) versions of the lineages which are heavily tied to the Fea but are not them. And from what I understand about what I heard about Curseborne Covenant I haven't heard any anything about playable Fea. So my question is Are the Fae going to be playable?

Not the actual Fae, they're too important and powerful and cryptic. However, there are "fae" themed families, like the Prenderghasts, which cover feyish stuff thematically, and the shadow families you mentioned who claim to serve them.

So you're saying they're just too powerful to actually play. What lineage(s) are Fea like families from? But from what I know about Changeling: The Lost you can play as Fea like things leaving something like that will happen?

At least I know what lineage the family you refer to is from I just had to listen to the next comment language based learning disability and all that.

It seems like we're getting at least one fae aligned family for each lineage in Curseborne, in the form of a shadow family (though, we're still trying to work out why the Prenderghasts aren't a shadow family)

Changeling the Lost positions the Fae as villains, you're playing people they kidnapped, and who escaped, having been turned into a fairy tale types. That game is a different game though.

I suspect the reason we don't have an immediate changeling equivalent is because fae play a more central role in the lore of curseborne, and everyone's curses trace back to them, so everyone is kind of / sort of a changeling-- vampires are vampires because they're a moral parable about parasitic greed, for example, and there's stories about the curse originating with landlords, that feels very fae. There's stuff about Sorcerers cutting deals for power originally, and needing to give something up.

If you just want the vibes of being fairy, there's normal families that can do that-- Keepers of the Broken Vine, Prendergasts, etc.

I saw no current plans for specific fae type pcs. I do know that the Penderghast Family of Outsiders are called out as being former fae, so I imagine any kind of fae pc would end up being an Outsider.

Thank you for your explanation.

My personal opinion: Given the popularity I wouldnt be surprised if OPP did a Fae supplement. But it's likely years away if they plan to do it.
