Discussion This game has the best double boss out of all action game

In most game you are like; wow fuck when you meet a double boss or more
but this game does it so well, im shocked

Way too easy.

Easier than them individually.

They basically fight you one on one, and when they do attack "together" they still attack one swing after another. And their only simultaneous swing you can block both lol

Tbf I also think it’s easier. At least for a first playthough. The new attacks are just big screen wide moves, heavily telegraphed. You’re way more equipped and experienced by the time you fight them again and they do kind of take it in turns aside from those big sweeping moves.

The fight is literally the same as their individual selves except yeah the new spectacle attacks and they're together, meaning you have to remember BOTH of their timings simultaneously. It's harder. Yes being more equipped and likely better at the game by that point helps, but it's still fundementally harder.

But if you’re only fighting one at a time than it it’s the same as fighting them individually. They needed way more combos as a pair to pose a threat

They do actually alternate. Like Iffu will attack then Burai, then Iffu, then Burai. Sometimes Iffu will attack, then Burai, then Burai again, then Iffu. Or Burai, then Burai again, then Iffu, then Burai. They mix it up. And sometimes they do a joint attack. And they actually have more joint attacks than just the spectacle ones. They have new joint unblockables.

They’re still very easy to read. Even in there combos it’s their slowest attacks. The fight just feels slow. They could have ramped it up way more.

They're not any faster or slower than the likes of Ornstein and Smough or Shadows of Yharnum. It feels very similar to the former only with some ranged attacks thrown in and one never absorbs the other. And honestly I highly doubt you or the other guy managed Iffu and Burai on your first try. I wouldn't buy that baloney unless you maybe had action prompts turned on.

Lol I haven't even completed my first play thru while there are people already on their 5th play thru on a 1 month old game.

And you dont gotta remember shit about any of their old individual moves.

90% of their moves flash bright purple when they swing wtf you talking about 🤣

I have honestly no idea why youre so mad that I said the duo boss fight was easier than their individual fights... like isnt that an opinion? Did it hurt your feelings that I said that or something?

If youre, like a 14yo kid, I understand why youre like that. But if youre a 25yo+... holy shit dude, its just a fucking video game😅

I have a full time engineering job and multiple other hobbies. I probably play video games less than 6 hours a week.... and actually 0 hours a week for the past like 2 years before Onimusha WOTS came out

On carnage, you better keep your eyes on both of them. Burai likes to do his grab or ranged spear stab on you when you least expect it

Agreed, it's so cinematic and instead of just another gank fight, they added a lot of combo attacks that really suits their personality. Like they're sorta bumbling idiots but their combo attack hits like a truck if they do land. It was really enjoyable.

As soon as they popped up I rolled my eyes expecting just a time waster copy and paste fight. I absolutely loved the team up attacks and how they would damage each other when they missed you. It just made them so dang fun

It was something I picked up on in my carnage run, but both of their individual fights have enough in them to challenge the player, but when observing their abilities and patterns they both feel kinda reserved compared to other fights.

Then you get the duo fight and even though both of them slow down, stepping in then stepping back for the other for a lot of their attacks, it actually fills in the empty space that can be felt in each of their 1v1 fights.

It's even the case that the duo fight is programmed for your strategy to make it harder or easier, where if you focus down one brother, the brother you attack will go into phase 2 when you empty their 1st health bar, but if you split your focus to fight the both of them then after both of them lose roughly 30 to 40 percent of their 1st health bar they both go to phase 2 at the same time.

This was one of the boss fights in the game that had my jaw dropped. Fun engaging fight with an awesome atmosphere. I was stunned

Those Nue are more a mid boss, like the others. Not a real boss.
