I graduated from university last year and I'm currently working as an engineer at a game development company.
I like the work, but I've realized that the 9–5 life isn't really for me. I've been thinking about building something of my own, preferably something that solves an actual problem people here face.
So I'm curious: what's something in Nepal that you wish was easier or simply worked better?
Could be a service, a product, some annoying process, or just a problem you deal with regularly.
I'm not necessarily looking for business ideas. I just want to hear what people think is broken or missing.
Would really appreciate any thoughts.

If you have an old bag or luggage with a broken zip, damaged handle, torn section, broken wheel, or other damage, you don't always have to replace the whole thing.
I recently came across New Macchindra Leather and Bag Store in Lagankhel, Lalitpur, where they repair different types of bags and luggage.
They handle things like:
One thing I found interesting is that people also bring in bags that have sentimental value and don't want to throw away even when they're badly damaged.
They also have bags, purses, belts and other products if you're looking to buy something new.

So if anyone around Lalitpur/Kathmandu/Bhaktapur has been searching for somewhere to repair a damaged bag or luggage, this might be worth checking out.

22F Here,
I started earning a “proper salary” about 7 months ago. Even though I earn a decent beginner salary, I still feel like we’re just one unexpected situation away from being broke.
I want to learn more about the investments, saving schemes, and financial habits I should build now to become financially comfortable and secure in the long run.
Already done:
I have an emergency fund of around NPR 1 lakh, but it’s just sitting idle. Is there a safe way to make this money grow while still keeping it accessible for emergencies?
I’ve started an NMB SIP of NPR 2,000/month.

And yes, it is vibe coded from very start to end. Simple and easy to play. Please try once and let us know what better we can do on it. It was just a side project that we wanted to give shot on weekend.

I’m planning to apply for a Master’s in the USA, and I’ve been hearing from a lot of people that I should self-apply instead of going through a consultancy.
For those who have self-applied, I have a few questions:
I’d really appreciate it if anyone with firsthand experience could share their experience, including the pros and cons of self-applying.

I’m thinking of reading a book by a Nepali author. I’ve already read Karnali Blues.
Do you have any other recommendations? What’s your favourite book?

I’m curious about the Newar families who have lived for generations in places like Asan, Mahaboudha, and New Road, especially those living in the extremely narrow but surprisingly tall 7–9 story houses.
Are these families generally wealthy, or is the wealth mostly tied up in land and property?
What do they actually do for a living or how do they earn their income? Do they run shops/businesses on the ground floor, rent out parts of the house, have inherited businesses, work abroad, or have other sources of income?
And what is everyday life actually like inside those very narrow, tall traditional/modern houses? Do the upper floors get used much, and how do families manage living in such limited space?
I’d especially love to hear from Newars who grew up in these areas or people who have close friends/family there.

So maile hijo euta post gareko thiye about wifi prices increasing from today ani Halka research garera what i found out was due to a recent decision of supreme court the isps have to pay the taxes that they had been evading for years so what do these pieces of shits do they remove the lower bandwidth plans from 30-100 or around 100mbps and proceeded to raise prices for higher bandwidth plans too, btw this doesn't exclude Nt fiber Im unsure about their prices tho
