Discussion Same guy who did the study about ghost contests, figured out 2k27 uses 88% reused animations from older 2k titles.
With only 11 percent of animations being 2k27 original

To prevent the continuing flood of build screenshots in our sub I am making this thread for everyone to share and discuss all the 2K27 builds you would like.
Thanks!

Was tryna get one game in before work, took my daily spin so I wouldnāt forget and I landed a 4 hour double rep!!š¤¦š¾āāļø they have to make these tokens so that we can use at our own disposal!

Weird glitch in street kings. There was several balls in the court and you could casualy use it and score.

I stopped paying 2k after 2k24. Did not touch 25, 26, or 27 not even once. And obviously you have to blame 2k for some of the stuff they just canāt seem to fix but one thing I never see people mention are the streamers and how they negatively affect the game as well
If yāall remember the best 2kās and Iām talking about from 2k11 to 2k17, some of the top streams like Prettyboy Fredo, flight, duke dennis, Solluminati. These streamera were playing the game to have fun and making the streams interesting. Everything wasnāt about a Wager or playing in a ranked pro am for money.
This is literally what the community turned into post 2k20 and itās not surprising why thereās so many cheaters nowaday. Trying to continuously monetize something that was never meant to be monetized. Of course everything is going to get boring because everyone now is just trying to find the best way to win instead of just playing the game. People have no incentive not to cheat anymore and for the casuals, your not going to enjoy playing

I swear, every time I get heat check
I always get a speed up/slow down on that shot
Not sure if itās because I made 3 b2b 3s or something, but I swear atp itās not placebo
Now that Iāve learned to anticipate the timing change, after a few makes in a row, Iām fine
But it still feels like heat check is useless
After I make 3 in a row, thereās no way in hell I am down to try a tough shot (a heat check.. in other wordsā¦)
I just use it to help make up for the fact that I might mistime the speed up
It used to be that heat check meant youāre good to pull from basically anywhere, even contested, what gives? Might as well not even be a thing in the game anymore IMO

Let me preface this by saying I donāt think take two pushes out the best products and Iām not going to pretend like this corporation is a person with feelings. 2k27 is a bad game BUT I subscribe A LOT of the worst parts of it GAMEPLAY WISE to the constant complaining of YouTubers. For example people hated how inconsistent shooting felt in 25 (which it was designed to be bc people complained about shooting being easy in 24), creators complained and in 26 they gave us a fixed pure green window with no rng. THEN everyone complained again saying shooting was too easy (which is going to happen EVERYTIME if you do green or miss with a fixed timing que) and in 27 we have manufactured inconsistency again with rng installed to bring down the percentages. By mid November every year the game becomes this Frankenstein abomination due to following through on brand dead takes from the community. Atp we just need to stop taking advice from content creators even when they due successfully identify a problem because they give TERRIBLE solutions and theyāll always find a problem regardless bc the views are in being disgruntled and ādramaā. I just want a year where they take into consideration youtubers advice but ultimately create a product they believe is fair and balanced even if it means disregarding community opinions.

Everyone hates rng but wants green or miss because it has a āskill gapā (it doesnāt really, but thatās a different conversation) the reality is that if you give people a fixed pure green window with no rng they will learn to time their shot correctly down to the millisecond and you will see elevated shooting percentages. How do I know? Because thatās what they had in 26. But maybe you think okay but what if the green window is smaller. They did that at the end of 24 and people were shooting high 60-70s and so going into 25 they put rng back to bring down percentages. Ultimately you canāt have your cake and eat it too. Either you get green or miss straight up no gimmicks and you see high percentages or you get rng and donāt. If you donāt like either option then itās almost as if.. green or miss was a mistake?!? But yall arenāt ready for that conversation.

For anyone who misses NBA 2K17, thereās a new PC community project:
MyPARK is back with Sunset, Old Town and Rivet, working rep/progression, MyPLAYER/MyCAREER, VC, stores, classic rep rewards and rotating events like Ante Up, Park After Dark and Mountain Dew 3X.
Servers are hosted in Frankfurt, and weāre especially looking to grow the EU playerbase and get more consistent park runs going.
If you want to check it out or play:

Never played any other game like this man
Itās like a solid 50% of the community think theyāre one of the best players on the game
Guys see one of their teammates playing better than them and they start acting up because their ego gets bruised from seeing that they are not, in fact, the goat
And every day I see dudes on here acting like W/L and stats are not an indicator of skill. Sure, to a point, but over the course of literal hundreds/thousands of games?
And thereās no shame in not being the best, we literally play this game for FUN. There is no pro league, there is no purpose to being the best other than personal satisfaction. Playing how you want for fun is the point of playing 2K, all playstyles are valid from a āplay for funā perspective.
I will readily admit I am not the best. Iām not speaking from any kind of high horse fr. But you ask dudes in this community and theyāll just say āoh my teammates suckā, āoh matchmaking broā, āI keep getting soldā. Nobody wants to admit that they are just not that guy.
I donāt think thereās any other game where slightly above average players from the community genuinely think they are at the same level as literal professionals
Itās like mfs in irl rec league thinking that āoh if things were different, I woulda made it into the NBAā

Literally I have never been hawked down by big men on fast breaks more than I have in 2k27. I have an 88 swb on my 2 guard itās like heās stuck in mud trying to run out on a fast break after getting a steal (gold pace). Is speed even worth it in this game???

Playing my career, and every single game is low scoring. Iām on the Knicks, playing 10 min quarters and every game is a struggle to even score 80 points. Iām having games where my team is shooting damn near 30% from the field. Anyone else having this same issue?

I had to delete 2K27 because I needed a break for my mental sanity and before I did, I made sure I finished loading the game so I didnāt interrupt anything. In the past 2K games, whenever I deleted my game I never randomly got corrupted data or lost all of my game progression. BUT IN 2K27?!?! IF YOU THINK TO DELETE THE GAME, SAY GOODBYE. I download the game back and both of my MyPlayer builds were corrupted, my lifetime challenges went from 100+ to 46, and my build specialization went from goal 4 all the way back to 0. Thankfully my builds showed up and I still had my 98 PG, but the fact that my lifetime challenges and build specialization canāt be reset or brought back is so stupid. I canāt believe how unfinished this game feels at times. I actually lost all motivation to play this game right now. GTA 6 couldnāt drop any faster.

Going to make a 5s center build and wondered if I should invest in at least 88 strength or if I should go with high speed and agility and a lower strength

So Iāve been in a crew since early access. We left it open. Thereās no way we ONLY have 7 ppl. Then I leave and test the quick join out. Itās putting me in these fake crews ran by 2k sports. So itās either invite ppl and hope they join or your open crew wonāt get ANYONE in it.

Hear me out, the reason why most lockdowns in previous 2K avoids high weight is because the higher the weight, the lower the speed/agility. Now everyone is too fast and it seems like Speed and Agility doesn't matter.
The game speed is so overtuned, even a center can guard anyone on the court.
This needs to be fixed, they need to make sure that attributes matter when it comes to moving on/off the ball.
Is this the reason why REC que is much longer these previous days? People stop playing since REC is unplayable?
The courts have different latency and I'm telling you this, the only fun position in REC right now is Center and Locks.

Every 5-10 online games I play, my shot meter will magically turn back on and to the default settings, as well as my 3 animation and shot feedback. Itās really annoying as itās thrown me off a couple of games now.
Any suggestions are welcome.

I know Iām going to sound like every other complainer, but they had to change something yesterday. I was shooting 60% + in all season. Now Iāve missed every shot and Iām down to 40%. Anyone else?
I usually use Devin Booker base on all my builds with Oscar and Beluba but I canāt get Devin Booker on my lock Somone hook me up with a good jumper got an 86 three ball.
