Probably a hot take, but other than the coming 3D games and the game VS Studio will be working on, I think the genre developers would do best fixing/optimizing the games they have currently rather than pushing new games.

The formula of "Green 2 player battle system that needs more input + mid single player content + online ranked matches = Fighting Game Product" needs to end.

What happened to game modes? Why are 2 lanes and ring outs half baked gimmick stages only in COTW? Where is dramatic battle in SF6? Why isn't Tag an optional mode in every Tekken? They spend all this time making a battle system and don't do anything fun with them. For the "average" fg consumer, you just buy dlc, grind ranked and drown in pools ad nauseam.

Even the in-game community systems and customization are mostly trash. Most every fg community relies on discord for what???

They spend all this time working on a battle system just for people to be mad anyway. Just make a good videogame and push IN-GAME community engagement, and it doesn't have to be a shitty lobby. We can't even share tech in any of these games without a 3rd party.

Put the R&D department to work. Stellar Blade took 5 years to make. SF6 takes 2 years to make 1 character and they end up being low tier and fucking their cousin.

art 1 is by rezp, art 2 is by roumgu. Vegeta and Bulma are one of the cutest couples out there. I would have loved to see some interactions between them if Bulma was playable.
