Persian books

Hi! I am looking for a website where people can get Farsi books/ebooks from. Is there a good online space for this? For language learning purposes, i am interested in Modern Persian, both colloquial and literary.

You can also share other useful web pages for Persian language media like films and TV-shows, etc. Thanks!

Trump ended up silencing himself when he banned three news outlets from the White House.

English summary of the last clip in this video:

President Dr. Pezeshkian at the UN General Assembly:

🔹 Iran’s defensive capabilities are solely intended to deter any form of aggression, and the country will not seek permission from any power to defend itself.

🔹 Nuclear technology is also an undeniable right of the Iranian people for the development of medicine, agriculture, industry, and sustainable energy. Iran’s clear position is: “No to nuclear weapons, and no to being deprived of nuclear knowledge.”

🔹 This is an issue that can be resolved not on the battlefield, but through a mutual agreement that guarantees the rights of the Iranian people and the peaceful nature of the program.

🔹 Iran sees regional security as dependent on cooperation and having strong neighbors. It is unacceptable for Iran, as the historic guardian of the Strait of Hormuz, to be subjected to unjust sanctions while others use this waterway to transport weapons and fuel crises in the region.

Might be speaking out of my a**, but would Iran be better off trying to initiate talks with Indigenous tribes in the USA?

I have seen some of the Lego videos put out and Iran seems to understand the plight of Indigenous peoples of the USA and other marginalized groups. Iran has already stated they won't negotiate with the USA until Trump is out of office. But honestly would this even be enough? Iran (I hope) understands the USA government can't be trusted to keep its words, the most obvious and longest example is the USA government and treaties signed with Indigenous groups.

So why talk to Indigenous Tribes in the USA if they hold little to no power in politics and any talks would probably get Indigenous groups labeled extremist or worse. The short answer is just like Iran (Persia) has a long rich history, so do Indigenous peoples of turtle island. I think dialogue between Indigenous tribes and Iran could lead to a new America that pays tribute to its indigenous people while creating a path for true honesty between nations, one where the struggle for sovereignty is shared between each other.

Yes, I know this might seem like wishful thinking but to be fair thinking the USA will stay as it is today is more of a wishful thought than thinking a new world is possible.

Citizenship through mother

Hello I was wondering what the process is to obtain Iranian citizenship through your mother. I heard they passed a lose in 2020 making it possible. But I’m having a hard time figuring out how to go about obtaining it. Any advice or pointing me in the right direction would be appreciated. I love in the US and I couldn’t find anything on the embassy website

Are you guys seeing this? How is this even possible for the US to isolate another country from the globe in this way! (Of course I know how) Do you guys think this airway blockade is long term? I was hoping to travel there in the upcoming months but this is just ridiculous. If its not one thing, its another!

One less imperialist asset to bomb innocent schoolgirls.

"The incident occurred in Grand Traverse County when the jet “experienced an incident” during a routine training mission, a spokesperson for the Texas Military Department said.

Michael Kroll, spokesperson for the Michigan Department of Military and Veterans Affairs, confirmed the jet was an F-16 from the Texas Air National Guard."

Can we all agree there's NO WAY these polls aren't being manipulated? I mean, Iranians having a 'positive' view of Israel after they started 3 separate wars against us, bombed hospitals and murdered people? Come on, that can't be right, can it?

Documentary by Jedaal: Khamenei’s Last Move

For thirty-six years, Ali Khamenei prepared Iran for a confrontation he believed would eventually come.

This documentary traces the doctrine he built, the forces that challenged it, and the war that ultimately reached his own home.

He could have moved. He didn’t.

Did Khamenei simply accept the risk—or did he understand what his death could set in motion?

Is Farsi widely spoken in Rasht, Iran?

Salam everyone hope you all are doing good! I’m studying about various ethic groups and diversity present in Iran 🇮🇷 and was curious to know is Farsi widely spoken in Gilan and Mazandanaran province? I mean do natives just speak a different language at home or is Farsi more dominant than their cultural language as well?

Would love to learn more about the local culture at Gilan and Mazandaran province, about the people and how vibrant the societies there are compared to rest of the Iran. Feel free to share your insights and opinions if you’re from there or have any family out there!

Peace ✌️

Pentagon reveals extent of Iran war damage to US bases

The Pentagon’s official watchdog released a special report about the Iran war on Monday, representing the Defense Department’s first formal accounting of US equipment and facility losses from the conflict.

The inspector general, citing its communications with US Central Command, said that “Iranian strikes damaged and destroyed hundreds of buildings and structures at US bases in Kuwait, Bahrain, Qatar, UAE, Saudi Arabia, Iraq, Oman and Jordan” during the war’s first months. The report, which covers the start of the war on February 28 through June 30, also acknowledged the depletion of key US munition stockpiles.
CNN Senior military analyst Retd. Adm. James Stavridis explains what this new report means.
