July 2026 Edit
The moderation team has changed this to a mod-only flair. We will quickly apply the "Only Iranians May Comment" flair whenever it is clear that the OP is specifically looking to hear from Iranians on the subject.
We are testing this out to see how it goes. We will update this post if anything else changes regarding the flair.
Today we added a new post flair: Iranian Voices ONLY
These threads are meant to center on the perspectives of Iranians, especially during times like these where outside noise can overwhelm the conversation.
What this means
Only Iranians may comment in these threads and violations may result in a ban.
Why we're doing this
r/Persian has always been open to everyone, and that will not change. But in these times, it's important to create space for Iranians to speak directly without being drowned out by outside voices.
This flair allows that space to exist when the OP chooses it. Non-Iranians may also choose this flair to ask questions directly to the Iranian community.
Where this applies
This rule applies only to posts using the Iranian Voices ONLY flair. All other threads remain open to everyone under our usual rules.
Final note
If you are not Iranian, please respect the purpose of these threads. There are many other places in the subreddit to participate.

Mardumemun fishare ekonomi be zendigishun hich komaki nemiyare. Be degarguni rah andakhtanesh hich komaki nemiyare yani. Tanha marduma goshnashun mimunan.
Tanha ba goshnegishun khiyabunharo shulugh bokonan en akhundaro nemitunan dar biyaran, zureshun nemirese!
Mardumaye Iran tofanga niyaz daran, bayad dashte bashan! Hich chareye dige barashun nemimune yani.
Akhunda sad sal zire ekonomiye pukide zendigi mitunan bokonan. Talibanara nega bokonin zire che keshvare oraghi hanuzam istadan keshvare Afghanistan zire dasteshun munde.
The economic pressure created by America on Iran is impacting the Iranian people and is not helping. You cannot spark a revolutionary change like this. The only result is that people will remain hungry and their situation gets worse. For the Mullahs of Iran they could NOT CARE LESS!
Hunger alone will not defeat the Mullahs, the people of Iran need to have guns!
When has a broken economy ever helped spur change? Look at the Taliban, a ruined country, yet they are still standing, and Afghanistan remains under their control.
If our people are armed, in 1 DAY they will bring down these genocidal clerics.
Otherwise this is just a pissing contest and the only losers will be the Iranian people.

I’m half Persian and I really got my dad’s Persian nose…
I actually don’t hate my nose or anything, BUT I have a pretty noticeable bump on the bridge and I swearrrr I would look so good if it was just straight/smoother. I’ve been thinking about getting a nose job for a while now.
Has anyone here (especially guys) gotten a nose job? Were you happy with the result?
I still want to look Persian, I just want that bump GONE!
Any advice would be VERY appreciated.

I'm a 20 years old student who lives in iran and I've been learning german for a couple of years now and actively plan to take on ösd's B2 level exam for an immigration plan.
I was hoping I could find someone who plans the same goal too so we could connect, share experience, practice and learn together so we could improve.
My current german level is B2 ish and I'm planning to take the exam in the next 4 to 5 months, depending on the situation of the country's stability and price inlfations.
I'd certainly be happy to meet anyone with the same criterias so we could connect.

I’d be grateful if anyone has any recommendations for music like Behet Ghol Midam by Mohsen Yeganeh? I’m English but have spent most of my life around my chosen Persian family, I heard my friend play this song years ago and fell in love with it. Since moving away from my Persian family, I miss them a lot and miss the food, culture and music and have been listening to this song a lot, but would like to discover more music like this.
Thank you and free Iran! 💚🤍❤️

Jack Hibbs’ Memory of Reza Shah II Pahlavi: The Tie That Became a Keepsake
A portion of a recently published video featuring Pastor Jack Hibbs recounts an interesting memory from his meeting with Reza Shah II Pahlavi, Prince Reza Pahlavi—a personal story involving a gift and a request for the Prince’s autograph.
In his account, Hibbs recalls a time when Reza Shah II Pahlavi gave him a tie as a gift. Hibbs, considering the gift meaningful, asked the Prince to sign it for him. It was a personal moment that remained in his memory for years afterward.
Jack Hibbs has previously spoken publicly about meeting Reza Pahlavi in Israel. In a program on TBN, he explained that several years earlier he had the opportunity to speak with and interview Reza Pahlavi during his historic first visit to Israel.
In the same program, Hibbs also discussed Reza Pahlavi’s views on Iran’s future and future relations between Iran and Israel, referring to the idea of a “Cyrus Pact” aimed at establishing peace between the two countries.
The story of the tie and the request for an autograph offers a more personal glimpse into their connection,a memory that, alongside Hibbs’ political and historical discussions about Iran, provides an intimate perspective on his meeting with Reza Shah II Pahlavi.

I still don’t understand why Narges Mohammadi, in her interview with CNN, and Nasrin Sotoudeh, in her acceptance message for the Václav Havel Human Rights Prize, remained silent about the DeyMassacre and made no mention of it at all. It’s like Mahatma Gandhi saying nothing about the Amritsar massacre, or Michael Collins never mentioning the Easter Rising.

Hi everyone, I'm looking for advice on getting medicine to my girlfriend's family in Iran. The medicine is really important for their health need, and they can't get it locally.
I have tried courier survives but they won't ship to Iran. The family lives close to the Turkish border in Urmia, so I was thinking of sending the package to someone in Turkey who could then bring it across, or pass it to someone traveling into Iran. I know many people from Tabriz and nearby cities travel to Turkey regularly for work, shopping, or family visits, so I'm sure there must be people or small services that carry packages across.
Does anyone know a person, a trusted service, or a group that does this? Like someone who travels between Turkey and Tabriz (or nearby cities) and is willing to carry medicine for a fee
This is really needed, and any help at all would be great, even if it's just a pointer in the right direction. If you've done this yourself, or know someone who has, I'd really appreciate any advice or recommendations, including what to watch out for.
