This made me realize a Tumblr post I saw more than a decade ago must have been a reference to one of these songs. It said "Shampoo for my real friends, real poo for my sham friends"
That’s reminded me of a deeply strange show my friends and I stumbled into at Edinburgh Fringe about ten years ago. All I remember was a guy squeezing shampoo into a mop head he’d been using as a wig while going “sham… poo…” in a very high pitched voice. It’s completely unrelated to your point but this thing lurks in my memories
