If you liked WitW try The Company of Wolves (1984)

This scared the hell out of me when I saw it at age 5.

Would this be a good Halloween/fall watch? I always try to watch Something Wicked this Way Comes around this time of year, and always heard this was another one of Disney's "edgy" scary flicks.

Absolutely. We watch Something Wicked This Way Comes and Watcher in the Woods every fall. They have a very complementary esthetic

It’s just Kyle

Kyle isn't scary. She's just a lot to handle.

This was a Disney release back in the day. Not sure why they don't have it anymore or why it isn't streaming somewhere.

My mom's name is Karen and when I'm really trying to get her attention or calling her in a crowd, I call her Nerak.

Thankfully, they changed the ending. The original is stupid.

This is one of my favorite movies of all time. I watched the newer o e with Anjelica Houston and it’s good but not as good as this one - it’s a classic.

Why isn’t this movie on Disney+? I would love to show this movie to my kids. Betty Davis I mean come on that’s amazing. What a legend.

This movie scared the shit out of me. I was WAY too young to be allowed to watch it. I’m in my 40’s now and am still terrified of it!

I'm certain I watch it back then, but now all I remember is the name (I'll put it on this month's watch list 😄 )

I had the book. I loved it but it was so creepy I refused to watch the movie when it came out, lol.

I was terrified to look in a mirror for days after seeing this movie. Granted, I was 5 when it came out

Whenever someone asks about a good movie to introduce their kids to horror, I suggest this and Something wicked this way comes. And always add "bonus points, they're Disney films."

Saw this in the theater. I loved it

This was actually pretty scary for its time and being under the Disney umbrella.

That's interesting. Bette Davis starred with Kim Richards in Return to Wich Mountain.

I love this movie so much!! The last year I worked on Halloween at a library, I played this movie as one of our “spooky on the PA day before Halloween” movies

Holy shit, I've been trying to remember the name of this movie for years. I've even asked chatgpt based on the few details I could remember.

I thought she was Susan Sarandon. Oops

Is the lady in the middle Susan Sarandon with makeup on?
