Nothing perks you up like eating an entire roast turkey.

The manual for Castlevania refers to it as a pork chop if I remember correctly. Love a good walled in pork chop.

In the 8 bit graphics area, they had to try hard to convey the concept of "meat". The details of the particular meat dish were beyond their capabilities. It probably most looks like a rack of lamb.

Whatever they intended it to be at Konami, it always made me want some as a kid đ

Trash can turkey
Aged to PERFECTION.

A local delicacy in Metro City.

u/whoknows130 1d ago
That's WHY the Mad Gear Gang is so obsessed with taking over. To get all that trash-can turkey for THEMSELVES!

âHey, Mayor, maybe after weâre done âfinally fightingâ all the street crime, we can address the people eating Trash Can turkey for health problem.â
Then he punches my lights out and marries his daughter off to the strongest Metro Cityzen.

Remember, don't shoot food.
Elf shot the food!

Funny that the Reddit ad I got just above this is for e.l.f. Cosmetics...

A full, roasted turkey is the worst thing to eat in the middle of a street fight, considering how it makes you feel sleepy after eating it.

This doesnât make sense. Because of âwokeâ you canât eat chicken in video games?

Starbuck, a Visiting Fellow for the Capital Markets Initiative at The Heritage Foundation who acknowledged that he is "pretty well-known at this point for turning companies away from wokeness," believes Americans appreciate Cracker Barrelâs iconic, pre-remodeled decor.
Do Republicans make sense when they call everything "woke"? Donald Trump personally got involved in that Cracker Barrel rebranding.

You seem to be a little unhinged and maybe youâre focusing on internet political discourse too much. Maybe try unplugging for a while, it can really be bad in oneâs mental health.Â

u/TheOsirisOfThisShit_ 10h ago
You think it's normal that the President of the United States called the CEO of Cracker Barrel to complain about their new logo? That's the country you want to live in?

u/Jewellious 5h ago
Arenât we still talking about video game floor turkey power ups?
0
u/TheOsirisOfThisShit_ 5h ago
We were talking about Republicans calling dumb things "woke". You weren't talking about anything. Thanks for jumping in.

u/Jewellious 5h ago
I was referring to how much your latest comment has diverged from your titled post.
Sir, this is Reddit everyone is always jumping in from somewhere.

u/TheOsirisOfThisShit_ 5h ago
Sorry if you weren't smart enough to catch the explicit connection between those two things. I know following simple conversations is difficult for a Republican.

u/Jewellious 5h ago
I do. I understand your joke, youâve explained it many times now.
Iâm just here for the 80s fun and nostalgia. If you want to politically label people, be my guest.

Someone gave me a turkey before a fight, and I looked at them, and "I threw it on the ground!"

Because of woke? What?
-1
u/TheOsirisOfThisShit_ 13h ago
It's making fun of Republicans calling everything "woke". Like when the President got involved in Cracker Barrel's rebranding.

u/sick_of-it-all 11h ago
It makes no sense. Itâs just weird.Â
-1
u/TheSecretDecoderRing 11h ago
Eating turkeys you find on the ground to replenish your energy in the middle of a fight is weird. That's the premise for the joke.
-3
u/sick_of-it-all 11h ago
I understand what the joke is supposed to be. I donât know why itâd be considered âwokeâ. Unless, maybe you donât know what that word means, is that the problem?Â
2
u/TheSecretDecoderRing 11h ago
It's making fun of people who don't know what it means, and use it to blame stuff on. "Grr, you can't say that anymore because woke people complain!"
Like no one is genuinely upset that modern video games don't have turkey power-ups anymore. And even if they did, they're not gonna blame it on diversity advocates or social justice or political correctness.

u/sick_of-it-all 9h ago
Lol. Ok. Whatever you say, I guess. Really clever joke. But I don't think it'll catch on and be a hit.

I think itâs just making fun of all people who call any change from yesteryear âwoke.â Not necessarily just Republicans. AOC said âwoke 1 was crazyâ

u/TheSecretDecoderRing 13h ago
I think/hope it's just a joke about people mindlessly blaming things that got phased out of existence on "wokeness."

I think also Rampage? I cannot confirm as my image search is failing me. Though why eat turkey when you can eat the person in the bathtub?

u/Briankelly130 6h ago
You could tell they were PC'ing it up by the late 90s when Tekken 3 replaced it with chicken.

A salad with fried bugs in it is better for your health and the environment

It's "floor chicken" in Vampire Survivors parlance
