It starts right before You can tell if it came from behind the roofline, or passed in front. If You can confirm it came from behind the roofline it'd prove its much larger than a bug.

It appears to be reflecting that IR quite effectively. It's probably a moth; all the microscopic scales acting like tiny mirrors giving it a waterlike appearance.
