If it is a bag for stockings, it's entirely possible that they were used for fishing. I used a bunch of different pantyhose/stocking types to fill with dead fish and dangle in the surf to attract beachworms/poddy bait and more.

If it's anything like my dad and grandpa, he probably saw a little bag and went "oh, that'd be handy!". He's probably got a Crown Royal bag filles with nuts and bolts in the garage.

Oh right, sorry.

No my mom killed the magic bamboo stalk to free my father from the forest, but the bamboo was our life source so we withered away. My father, shunned by the village, returned to live with us but we were already at deaths doorstep.
