I found one of those and I never figured out what type of mushroom it was either? Definitely weird. The stems on these mushrooms are awfully girthy.

Those are stinkhorn mushrooms. You can smell them before you see them. Literally smell like rotting meat. I had an infestation for a few years. So awful

I wish I knew. It's a mushroom that's all I knew it grew out of a mixed patch of clover and violets. I'm not even sure what those little yellow flowers are. I do 100% guarantee it is a mushroom I just have no idea what kind of a mushroom it's never grown there before and odds are it'll never grow back there again. I think when the building landscapers came through they destroyed it. Those guys don't really know anything about landscaping, they only know how to mow a lawn and cut things. So I'm sure this thing lasts at all of about a second and a half with a weed wacker.
