This is the most “I have no ideas and need to write an article” story I have ever seen.

I like Brandon and his decision making, sometimes he does try to do too much, but overall he gives his best effort and plays smart. Contract wise will determine what happens with him for his future with the Warriors, but he’s been our most promising draft pick in quite some time.

I have high hopes for Bassey. defense & rebounding.
7-8 rebounds, 3 blocks a game! Vogel funnel defense time!

you gotta temper your expectations until we see what he does in the first 20 games

This is a nothing burger. There is no negative side to his improving development. We have plenty of cap space next year, need good players (i.e. better than league average replacement players and above), plays a position of need for us,, and if we think he’s too expensive to sign, he becomes a valuable asset to spin.

A player being “too good” is a steak too juicy situation

Not in this case. This team needs a Klay or Poole's 1.5 good years level talent to function. They can't pay a guy Klay or Poole money if he's good but doesn't meet that bar, they just don't have the space. Podz good is still not the good they need, and if he commands $20M, then they can't carry him. The team really needs to replace him, and they need him to be a back or middle of the bench guy on a lower level contract.

10 games into the season, same old Podz

Would Podz still be Podz if he wasn’t over helping on D and fucking up rotations?

That's like... The thing he does the best. Help defense, late rotations, drawing charges. Even when he was super raw that was his bread and butter. That's why you're getting downvoted. Bad, bad take.

- The amount of times I’ve watched him for 3 seasons cause the defense to scramble from his over helping. He did do a better job last season. 2. drawing charges is not quite the same as being a great help defender. 3. I’ve defended Podz plenty in this sub

He's 6'4, there have only been like twenty great "help defenders" at that height in league history. And that's probably being generous. Podz is a very good help defender all things considered.

Internal growth is good. Let’s see how it translates against starters. I’m hopeful that the improvement is real.

It means he’ll dribble until 3 sec left on the shot clock and kick it out for a rushed shot?

He literally took the most grenade 3s on the team and one of the most in the league because he gets passed late shot clock possessions lol

My problem with Podz is that he’s a shitty version of Austin Reeves, and Austin Reeves is a shitty version of a good player, and we talk about Podz like he’s Austin Reeves.

u/Apoplexy 15h ago
he's not an austin reeves, he's more of a josh hart, donte divincenzo archetype. two way hustle connector. reeves is a 2nd option offensive player.

Just an odd comment. Have you watched AR? He’s a really good offensive player.

His go to will still be the extra dribble, jump up fake out, look at his man fake out... in his own words.
No shit he's going to get better, it's a contract year. He'll finally listen, and stop thinking taking charges is a roster spot let alone the 2. But can the team carry him? Will his best games come during our worst games? Does he fit alongside 2.5 HOF'ers?

Yeah let's not over hype people based of what's going on in camp please. Let's just wait and see what happens.
