I added a VB6-style form designer to my jdBasic language. Should I keep going?

I’m building a small and dirty BASIC language (jdBasic) and added a visual form designer for VS Code. It uses native Win32 controls, can drag and drop controls, automatic code generation and more.

Should I continue?:

Well what's interesting but who's going to use it? most people want, code to run cross-platform these days. I know it's a huge change but if it ran the web browser instead and used your basic code executable in the background it would be enough for many uses because at least the GUI is cross platform

Good question ;-) jdBasic has a cross-platform path. It comes with HTTP server and a small web framework. I'm hosting several apps and games in pure jdBasic. (Invoicing SaaS, kanban board for claude), We also made a WASM build for jdBasic. I needed the Win32 way for my customer projekts, that are still Access and VBA Apps. If you are interested, I can try to build a VS Code editor for my HTTP framework...

Sounds great! I run in Winforms now with Visual Studio and Dot Net Visual Basic. Very large project - 70 forms, zipped with all dependencies its 500 MB. All is portable but Winforms. Code now runs as a service in Dot Net 9, so I can finally get rid of Winforms. Starting on a web front end in Javascript and various javascript GUI tools.

Cool but is there much demand for win32/win64 apps these days?

I used to do loads of it but stopped around 2006/7.
