Reaction to accidentally eating dairy?
I got a veggie burrito from Del Taco yesterday, which I ordered with no cheese or sour cream. While eating it, something tasted “off” but I couldn’t see any dairy. After finishing it, I’ve had a feeling like a lump in the back of my throat ever since. Has this happened to anyone before? Is it a dairy allergy or just in my head? I don’t have an upset stomach.

Most humans are lactose intolerant to some degree. An icky feeling would be expected, especially for someone who hasn't been exposed to it for a long time. Allergies can present themselves in just about every way imaginable, though. From stomach issues to headaches to hives or even mood swings; all can be reactions to something your body is rejecting. Hope you feel better. Don't beat yourself up over it. It's happened to most of us.

it's not necissarily an allergy. Our bodies can get used to not eating something and then when we eat it again it kinda shocks us. Could be some sort of acid reflux thing. See an alergist if you're concerned.

Yeah I’ve been vegan for over 25 years and I’m sure I’ve accidentally eaten animal products along the way, just threw me off since I’ve never had this kind of reaction before! I’m hoping it’ll be better tomorrow.

Yes, I’m not sure what that has to do with my situation though?
