Discussion Who is the healthiest and most well-adjusted TM protagonist?
I was chatting about this elsewhere and kind of got stuck on this. At first I was thinking Shiki Tohno, since he has a definite sense of value for his own life, but come to think of it he has his own issues. Shizuki was my next best guess but with his lack of a psyche and sense of self I think that's pretty hard to call "healthy". I think it might genuinely be Aoko, which leaves a bit of a sour taste in my mouth, but idk who else ranks up there

Discussion Can Heroic Spirits interact with Each other within the Throne?
I have a question ever since I heard that some Heroic Spirits can do something while being inside of it. It is interesting since this raise up some questions like what's liked to be in the Throne.

Discussion What are martial artists capable of?
Just while peering to the wiki (as I do every know and then) and I see a category for martial arts as well as breathing and walking in the magecraft section.
Could someone explain to me how martial arts work in the type moon universe, if they’re any different from magecraft and what are the limits/capabilities of it?
And a little tidbit, I saw a martial art called Jacob’s Limbs and the backstory for it is metal as fuck. I‘ll put it up as an image. Imagine looking outside your window in the Middle Ages and you see your local pastor boxing with an angel lmao.

Discussion How strong is Counter Guardian Emiya with infinite mana? Also in his Counter Guardian state can Emiya make Divine constructs and use them without dying?
Basically as it sounds as the post title.
I heard somewhere that counter guardians have infinite mana from Alaya(counter force).
So I was wondering how strong if Emiya whose whole kit is dependant on his mana reserves actually had like a lot of mana.
Also in his Counter Guardian state can he make and use divine constructs without dying?

Discussion I'd be sad if Nasu passes away before completing his backlog
I'm just saying this because I'm really worried that Nasu won't be able to complete the stories he's been wanting to finish due to his age. I think he should be around his late 40s or 50s? Not sure. But i'd be really sad if he does pass away before completing his works. He is my inspiration as a writer and i've been writing my own books thanks to him.
Sorry for the gloomy thought, I was just thinking about this and I just want to vent it out 😢

Discussion Fate has become a huge franchise for Nasu and TYPE-MOON, but do other works have the capacity to do the same?
Do TYPE-MOON's other works have the potential to be a franchise? Can their worlds be explored for new stories?

Discussion Should I read Tsukihime?
Hello. I've been interested in Tsukihime for some time now. I have been a fan of the fate anime for some time, having watched everything and even played the entire Part 1 of FGO.
I got a switch this year and it gave me the opportunity to read Fate Stay Night. I really enjoyed it but it took me 90hs to read it all, and although ultimately it was worth it, I also think pacing is not for me. I like the slice of life stuff but I guess I reach a point of saturation and lose interest, having then to power through to read the rest of it.
I just finished reading Witch on the Holy Night and my problem with the pacing there was even more aggravated. I did like the VN as a whole, the presentation is out of this world, the way they use the same drawings in different scenes is masterfully done to make each feel alive and unique. The soundtrack is also great.
I liked the story somewhat, but it really felt like a drag 99% of the time. I excuse the beginning of VNs when they are a bit boring because they usually take a while to get going, but even when there's more action oriented stuff going on, it still feels like it drags to me. For example, the Amusement park chapters were awesome, but it felt like 2 times longer that it should have been. I also think that the VN, although it developed Aoko, the main character, it also kinda went nowhere with the other two "main" characters, Alice and Soujyuro.
I also started to read Hollow Ataraxia but dropped it because I was not liking with the structure at all...
I feel like maybe reading visual novels is just not for me, but I want to experience the story of Tsukihime because it looks really interesting.

Discussion How different do you think Type-Moon would be today if FGO never existed?
I know this may sound like a FGO hate or a "If FGO never existed, we would be in heaven" type of post but what would Type-Moon look like today if FGO was never a thing.
As much as I don't like FGO, I do have to give it some credit for it probably being one of the huge contributors to Type-Moon's popularity in today's age. We wouldn't have gotten Samurai Remnant if not for FGO, after all.

Discussion Zelretch’s existence
I am confused as to how Zelretch can be a human in Fate timelines but be a Dead Apostle in the Tsukihime timelines.
Obviously, Zelretch was not physically turned into a vampire in the Fate timelines. It was even stated that Zelretch found a way to be immortal via other means while staying human. So that part, sure. On the surface level, it makes sense: never got bitten means you’re not a Dead Apostle.
Doesn’t this, however, contradict how becoming a Dead Apostle actually work? When one becomes a Dead Apostle, your very soul is rewritten from being “human” to “Dead Apostle”. A change so fundamental it affects the record of your very being and existence in the Akashic Records. Even if Zelretch moves around different worlds, he is still supposedly considered a Dead Apostle since becoming one is not merely a physical change.
The corruption of Zelretch’s soul is significant here because of how he actually travels between worlds: moving between jewel golem bodies in each world that he implants his soul into each time. Thus, it shouldn’t matter if he wasn’t bitten or not in Fate worlds since his soul, and his existence to boot, is registered by reality as “Dead Apostle.” Not to mention that he is stated to be only able to move to one world at a time since he’s only got one soul.
Given this, how can Zelretch be a human in Fate timelines if he is supposed to be a Dead Apostle down to his very existence?

Discussion Been trying to get into Nasuverse for years and it's just not clicking
Hi all. Been wondering whether or not Type-Moon works are something I'm just not a huge fan of. I've read all of Fate S/N (including Hollow Ataraxia), Tsukihime OG/Kagetsu Tohya(probably the one I enjoyed the most) Mahoyo, and watched all of the Garden of Sinners movies. I still enjoyed my time with these works nonetheless and understood their merits as to why they're highly regarded by many, especially within this community. However, I've been debating on whether or not I should continue to experience Type-Moon works in hopes of it "clicking" with me after noticing that I didn't quite enjoy it as much as I thought I would've. I tried reading Tsukihime remake and just couldn't get through it so I dropped it (might pick it back up once Red Garden comes out), which is something I've never done to a book or VN.
This thought came to me after my sister started sending photos of Aoko and talked about the upcoming movie, to which I just felt nothing towards and is what made me ponder in the first place. So with all that said, should I just admit that I'm not the target audience for Type-Moon media (which is odd since I almost always like anything and don't have a specific preference)?, or keep going. Btw, I didn't read all those VN's back to back, gone through them throughout the 2020s to now, with Tsukihime OG being read back in 2024, so it's not a case of burnout.

Discussion Hey first time here but what's the difference between an archetype and a type
I assume I'll have a better understanding later. It's not like I'm a spring chicken in type moon. I've read the og tsukihime and read and played most fate works, but the difference between the 2 is a bit confusing.
I know archetypes are the brain or soul, maybe even representative of a celestial body like archetype Earth, but then what's a type? Earth itself?
