Coming Back to Yourself Is an Act of SelfLove

Post image

Sometimes you don’t need to become a new person.
You just need to find your way back to the person you were before you started abandoning yourself for others. You’re allowed to outgrow people, expectations, old versions of yourself, and the need to be understood by everyone.
Take your time. Heal quietly. Choose yourself again.
It’s okay. You just forgot who you are.
Welcome back.

Healing isn't about fixing who you are; it’s about reassuring the little version of you that they are finally safe.

Outgrowing people, places, and old versions of yourself is part of becoming who you’re meant to be. No guilt, just growth.

You did what you thought was best during that time. Forgive yourself.

Life gets a lot more peaceful when you stop forcing connections and start choosing people who genuinely bring you peace.

Starting today, I’m no longer crying about you. I vow to forget you just like you “forgot” we were engaged. I am starting over and I’m not afraid.

I’m learning that I don’t have to make myself smaller to be loved

For a long time, I thought being easy to love meant not needing too much.

Don’t ask for help. Don’t take up too much space. Don’t make a big deal out of what hurts. Just handle it.
I’m trying to unlearn that.

I’m allowed to speak up. I’m allowed to need support. I’m allowed to care deeply about things that matter to me, even if somebody else doesn’t understand why they matter.

And I’m allowed to want people in my life who actually show up for me too.

That part has probably been the hardest for me to accept.

Self-love isn’t only about what I can give myself. Sometimes it’s also believing I’m worthy of receiving care, support, and love without feeling like I have to earn every bit of it.

My Favorite Reminders!

I'll always choose me first, regardless of whether anyone else does. I am my own protector, my own nurturer, and I'm always going to be on my side.

Sometimes, I'm tired, not weak.

I don't have to be perfect before I deserve tenderness. I don't have to prove that I'm good before I can be loved.

I don't have to earn the right to be upset, but I can take accountability for how I react.

And, on the beauty of being ourselves, our potential, and present:

It's in the morning, for most of us. It's that time, those few seconds when we're coming out of sleep but we're not really awake yet… We are untitled, unnamed, natural, suspended between was and will be… For a few brief moments, we are anything and everything we could be. And then… we become ourselves.

I get really stressed out with tests and exams to the point I need to cry to someone or be on call with someone or else I feel like I'll lose myself. (How can I fix this? )

I have a person around just for that but I feel like it's selfish since that's the main reason that person is here ( he knows it). However, I feel like Im performing? I do things just to make him happy so that he stays around whenever I need someone. I live alone so I don't have anyone else close around me. How can I fix this?
