Fuck yeah, Zach. I hope Robert Kraft is fuming.

Fuck Kraft and free Palestine, but focusing on a damn shirt is futile.

The attendance record at one of Kraft’s arena just got broken, that’s millions of dollars in Kraft’s pocket lol. I’m sure a damn t shirt isn’t going to hurt him as much as the cut from these concerts will satisfy him. Just a silly way to engage with this stuff.

Anyone celebrating this is just celebrating a business win for Kraft. Artists and fans should boycott his arenas, not make him millions of dollars and break his attendance records while wearing a Palestine shirt.

People are so obsessed with being snarky about Ed that they are forgetting the bigger picture here. It's amazing how no one has barely said a word about Robert Kraft, but you got dozens and dozens of posts about Ed.

Then people excuse with, "Um well, Robert has always been shitty so we just leave him alone. But Ed, we had so much high hopes for the guy who makes music you only listen to while shopping in KMart."

Wild to see people praise this as owning the man somehow (and that man is Ed Sheeran apparently). Zach didn’t cancel his shows and refuse to play at Gillette (I’m not saying he should), he wore a T-shirt. People really don’t give a fuck about action, they care about performance.

It’s actually very simple for the common man to take action. Look up who coordinated to get Macklemore banned and refuse to patronise their arenas/stadium’s/businesses. People won’t do that though because it’s very inconvenient if you like football or your favourite artist plays there.

They had to give out tons of tickets for practically free to get butts in seats. And while the continued enrichment of a billionaire is always regrettable, remember the thing we always originally wanted Ed to do was to continue spreading this exact message in his stadiums, which Ed failed to do. So we can’t suddenly move the goal post and now be pissed that someone’s actually doing the thing right that we were mad someone else was doing wrong.

It’s a win that it is becoming a bipartisan, publicly socially acceptable thing to vocalize support for Palestine. A month ago that wasn’t even allowed at this stadium—the backlash changed that. So I would argue this even erodes the social capital of a billionaire the tiniest bit.

I hear you and share your frustration that Robert Kraft continues to make any money at all. But that is a different fight—it doesn’t negate any good that came out of Zach doing this. And this does put a pebble in Kraft’s shoe, even if it puts a dollar in his pocket.

He'll wipe his tears on $100 bills

Seriously. If these artists actually cared they’d boycott his stadium. They don’t care, they just want to trend on Twitter and the. Get more streams.

Yall are eating up the virtue signaling lol

u/Dramatic_Buddy4732 7h ago

But but... I dunno what the excuse is. Their fans would be disappointed if they cancelled? I'm sure I've heard that before 😂

He’ll cry into all the money Zach’s making him.

u/Federal_Card307 9h ago

But wait, doesn’t that mean more money in Kraft’s pocket since it’s his stadium?

u/Dry-Illustrator-250 9h ago

Pretty much

u/Opulent-tortoise 8h ago

Is no one going to point out that it’s also an Appeal to Heaven shirt? Aka a Christian nationalist/alt right shirt lol

u/GeoChalkie_ 8h ago

It’s in Massachusetts where the flag does not mean that at all… stop reaching

Don’t ruin the feelings with facts

I would really strongly recommend looking up the history of that phrase because it goes back much much much farther than the extremely recent and misinformed use of it by a couple of Christian supremacists. And anyone who doesn’t have pudding for brains can understand the context of what having it on the exact same shirt that says Free Palestine on it means.

Ed is crying somewhere. I can feel it.

when the worst artist you know still makes a better decision than ed bottoms-for-billionaires sheeran.

43

u/periodicsheep 9h ago

is he really the worst? i know he’s not the best but surely there are worse people out there.

-19

u/olivehoneyfig 9h ago

to me he is the worst but i also strongly believe it’s never too late to make better decisions and be a better person sooo i’ll accept him being less shitty if it’s more than just a pr move to better his image.

13

u/muskag 9h ago

What was wrong with his image?

4

u/periodicsheep 8h ago

i’m not 100% sure what the other person was alluding to but i know his ex girlfriend, a podcaster named brianna chickenfry, has accused him of emotionally abusing her and trying to silence her with money and an nda, after he supposedly broke up with social media. i don’t know if she’s ever given evidence, but that’s what she shared. he’s implied it’s bullshit, but mostly didn’t address it publicly. i think he got married a few months after it.

that’s really all i know outside of him being kind of a douchey bro. i’ve seen him be pretty nice to fans and kids. i like a handful of his music. i have no idea if he’s a good guy but i can definitely think of waaaaay worse musicians.

This went to court. She turned down a multi million dollar settlement that admitted no wrongdoing and then lost …with prejudice…in court. I can’t think of much else the guy has been involved in.

IMO they both seem messy and it was a messy relationship.

-16

u/olivehoneyfig 9h ago

you can look into that yourself lol i’m watching a playoff basketball game

9

u/muskag 9h ago

Ah, so nothing. Got it.

-10

u/olivehoneyfig 8h ago

if that’s what you decide to take from that then that’s on you 🤷🏻‍♀️ regardless, you should be able to do your own research and practice your own discernment lol

6

u/muskag 8h ago

I was asking you specifically what's wrong his image since you took the time to shit on his image.

-6

u/olivehoneyfig 8h ago

he’s shat on his image enough without needing my help 🤣

0

u/periodicsheep 8h ago

i also find it annoying that people seem allergic to googling things for themselves, but it’s kind of weird to be this snarky about it. just tell them or don’t, why act so weird and childish? i think they were truly asking for your take on why he sucks.

What you’re saying is all anyone has to do is wear a Free Palestine shirt and everything else is forgiven, which is insane btw given it helps non-megastar artists sell tickets

-2

u/olivehoneyfig 7h ago edited 7h ago

where did i say that???? i literally said it’s never too late to start making better decisions???

1

u/soup4breakfast 5h ago

IMO, this wouldn’t make sense from a PR perspective. The majority of his fans are right leaning.

-8

u/FlyinNinjaSqurl jesus was a carpenter 💋 9h ago

He and Macklemore should go on a “garbage music but based morals” tour

10

u/Check_Ivanas_Coffin 9h ago edited 9h ago

Lol what the propoganda? I went for free because he couldn’t sell all his tickets.

Edit: Why am I being downvoted haha, I have even have the ticket stub.

3

u/JustaTurdOutThere 8h ago

My only take away from this is that of all the people to sell out Gillette he had the smallest stage and could hit the most people.

What a nothing burger of a headline

3

u/Check_Ivanas_Coffin 8h ago

I don’t know what about my comment brought you to that assumption haha, but it seemed like a pretty normal size to me.

4

u/JustaTurdOutThere 8h ago

That's what I'm saying, it's not like he's the first to sell out the stadium so touting the record just means they (Kraft and friends) crammed more seats in to get the record and headline.

u/Meat-Dimension Mom, I am a rich man💰 10h ago

Maybe on the back of the shirt there’s a lengthy explanation of Hamas’ role in the conflict and so Kraft is totally fine with it

All he did was wear a t-shirt while performing at Robert Kraft's stadium.
