Advice Vet tomorrow. Wish us luck.
My girl has some worrisome symptoms. I thought maybe a UTI again, and those symptoms are coming and going. But yesterday I noticed her lymph nodes under her jaw, in her groin, and on the back of her back legs are enormous. Like golf ball sized. Sheās also got a pink raised lump on her groin that I previously thought was a bug bite, but itās clearly not going away.
Sheās about 5 or 6 we think. Iām hoping it isnāt cancer. I have just enough medical knowledge to make myself worry more - I just donāt know what else this could be, given the swollen lymph nodes all over.
We just lost our old guy about a month ago. Ruby Roux is our sonās favorite dog by far, and he is her favorite human by far. I donāt want to lose her. Not yet. Not so young.
Please wish us luck. And if anybody has similar stories where things turned out ok, Iād love to hear them. (I am NOT asking for medical advice for my own dog. I just want to hear any medical success stories you might have, as comfort and to help me worry less.)

Nap Time The most active sleeper EVER
Iāve had my girl since January and I swear I have never seen a more active sleeper than her. She howls, growls, whines, snores louder than my grandpa, twitches, sleeps with eyes open, her hackles randomly go up and down and this happens mostly every day. I am a long time pet sitter so I have been around soooo many dogs and never seen such a consistently wild sleeper. My roommates pittie is a close match for intensity but she isnāt as frequent as my girl. Anyone elseās pitties doing the most in dreamland?

Advice Advice needed - nasal hyperkeratosis.
Hi everyone! Looking for some advice because weāre a little stumped.
My 8-year-old pit mix has pretty severe nasal hyperkeratosis. Weāve tried just about every remedy and nasal balm out there, with very little improvement ā even antibiotics.
Recently, she stayed at my parentsā house for 4 nights, and when she came home, her nose looked almost completely healed! Obviously, we were thrilled, but it also made us realize there must be something in or around our home thatās triggering it.
Nothing changed while she was away in terms of her food, and since then weāve been trying to eliminate anything we can think of. Weāre on well water, weāve removed air fresheners/fragrances, and weāve been extremely mindful of anything she could possibly be getting into in our fenced-in yard.
Unfortunately, after being home for about 3 days, the severe dryness started coming back.
Has anyone experienced anything similar or discovered an environmental trigger for nasal hyperkeratosis? At this point, weāre desperately trying to figure out what could be different between our house and my parentsā house. Any ideas or suggestions would be greatly appreciated!
As I mentioned, weāve tried just about every topical product/nasal balm out there, so weāre especially interested in possible environmental causes or things around the home that we may be overlooking.

Rainbow Bridge Zelda Forever
My sweet Zelda, Iām so sorry you never got a yard of your own. We always hoped we could give you that, and it hurts knowing we ran out of time. I hope you knew how deeply you were loved. Thank you for being part of our family and for all the love you gave us. Iāll miss you always. You were our hotdog queen and now you can enjoy them all.

Advice Our pibble hasnāt had the best luck this year
Our pibble Belle (12 yrs) has had health issues throughout this year. Back in January she tore her first CCL and had a TPLO. Her recovery was long, but steady and then she tore her other knee in June. We decided to do surgery again and she had another TPLO.
Sheās still in her recovery period and was doing well, but the past couple of weeks we noticed her walking wasnāt improving as well as it was with her first surgery. She still seemed unsteady and hesitant to walk. When we got her walking she would go, but she didnāt seem as weight bearing as she should be. She would also sometimes lay down on her side and kick her legs like she was uncomfortable. We chalked it up to the surgery recovery and didnāt think much of it because her follow up visits had gone well and vet seemed pleased with her recovery. She also started peeing more inside and when we talked with the vet we thought it could be behavioral at first and planned to discuss further at her next follow up.
Today she started the day out normal and then laid down and wouldnāt get up. She started getting restless and then whining and yelping in pain. It was very out of character for her and you could tell she was in pain. We immediately took her to the emergency vet and, after hours of waiting and evaluations, they think she has a bulging disc in her spine.
The vet said she is able to stand and can walk a bit, but is displaying neurological signs (knuckling and leg crossing). So, he recommended pain meds and anti-inflammatories and a follow up with her normal vet.
We plan to call her vet first thing in the morning and the emergency clinic is sending everything over to them as well, but what Iāve read about bulging discs is unnerving and scary. Has anyone experienced this with their pittie?
I know sheās older and I fear we may be having a quality of life conversation soon and itās been wrecking me.
