Ask Pakistan My cat was stolen. Please help me find her
Crossposting from r/karachi. My cat Luna had been with me for 6 years. This year around bakra Eid 2026, she suddenly went missing from our gated, guarded community in Malir Cantt. Karachi. We searched for days, printed fliers, asked the neighbourhood, put up posts on Facebook, checked the CCTVs - anything and everything we could think of, but we couldn't find her. The colony we live in is so pet-friendly, and she's been happily indoor-outdoor for YEARS, as are most cats in the colony: they hang out in the street and she has never, not one time, ever escaped to go anywhere further than a street over.
There was nothing we could find. She'd simply disappeared. We figured she might have been stolen because of the influx of animal merchants dropping off animals for qurbani; if she'd died, or been trapped somewhere, or lost, we'd have found something at least. But it's like she suddenly just... was no longer there.
I've exhausted other options. We had a couple of people reach out to us and show us similar cats, but it wasn't her. I'm stumped but still holding out hope that one day in sha Allah we will be reunited.
Please share and please ask your friends, please keep an eye out. I miss her to bits. The not knowing what happened to her tears at me. Offering a reward for her return. This is the last thing i can think of.

Well, cats do tend to leave when there about to die without warning and if you didn't find it since Eid, it's most likely she might have died 😔💔

Everyone who has lost a pet knows this possibility, and despite it keeps trying anyway.
