rake?raka? is a tiny underground DJ bar rather than a big club — if you’re into techno, trance, ambient or stranger club sounds, it’s a really nice place to hear this kind of music properly.
Not sure how many people on here are into this side of Osaka nightlife, but if it sounds like your thing, come say hi :)

They should move it down lower so the nutrias can read it too.

(I didn’t feed them and I wasn’t holding food, but I did have a conbini plastic bag, so that may have caused a rodent misunderstanding.)

Maybe a long shot.. but I left my Yashica T3 film camera on a bench near Osaka castle at the start where the Lawsons shop is. It’s black and in a leather case. Anyone seen it or handed it in?

I am planning to start doing some 3d resin printing, I need to buy some things like washing curing station/ washing bucket etc. Are there any 2nd hand stores you know that might have such items? Or dedicated 3d printing shop of some sorts?

I also need to buy some basic table and a growing tent to put on my balcony, anyone knows a good 2nd shop that has some tables/ growing tents?

I'm looking for a inline skate shop, not ice skate shop, in Osaka.

I'm trying to introduce my wife to online skating, and don't want her to dislike the sport because the skates don't fit correctly, hence wanting to try them before buying the skates.

Anyone knows of a place? I've looked on Google maps but couldn't find one. Thought that Kosugi had a section for it, but it doesn't, at least in the physical store.

Some guy about 20 years old kept getting into my face laughing and grinning. I tried to walk past him but he kept going into my way, I was just about to push him away and told him to stop it, he then left and went straight to the next tourist doing the same shit. Later I found out that there is a 0 tolerance for violence so would I have been done for if I would have touched him ? And is this a common thing ?

Hi everyone, I moved to Osaka a few months back. Before moving here, I was living in Beppu, Oita. Beppu is famous for hot-spring/onsen. I've went to AMAZING onsens around there. I'm looking for onsens around Osaka with a good environment, spacious enough, and also, pretty looking, I'm mainly looking for a good vibe rotenburo (露天風呂). If y'all got any suggestions please let me know. Big bonus points if it's a natural onsen.

I've applied to several places and attended a few interviews, but unfortunately I haven't had any luck so far. I am moving to another area in Osaka to be on the Midosuji Line and closer to work and I was told about these two locations. Esaka has everything there, beautiful area, everything I need right by the station but it seems to be expensive. And according to my estate agent there isn't that much choice there.

Higashi-Mikuni, we found a place that is much bigger and is cheaper. The only thing is, Higashi-MIkuni seems kinda boring and literally just a few shops. A place I feel like I could get bored of because there aren't many things there compared to Esaka.

What do you think? Which place should I go for?
Also should I go with a different estate agent? I wonder how useful he is to just essentially show me 5 listing in Esaka and then just say that's all that are available at the moment.

Perfect if:  your daughter would like to experience a camp in English, but you do not have the ability to join our troop year-long in Kobe.  (Or if you do want to join us in Kobe, please do that too😁)

Any nationality is welcome but please note this is a camp for fluent English speakers and not an English learning camp😄.

Our son was/is hospitalized here in Osaka, in the PICU. It’s been a nightmare but he’s coming along well and we are expecting him to move to general ward, tomorrow. I’m just wondering if there’s anything I can do to thank our nurses, who, in my opinion, have gone above and beyond for him and us.
We don’t speak Japanese and they’ve made every effort to speak with us in English, both unexpected and so freaking kind! One nurse, our favourite, was translating on her tablet, memorizing it, and coming over to say it to me in English. I cried.
Anyways, in Canada, I see these people doing massively extravagant thank you baskets for their nurses; I’m already tapped for cash with this unexpected emergency but I’d still like to do something to show our immense appreciation!!
Is this a completely bizarre concept? Or is there something, treats etc that I could bring to show my appreciation? ❤️‍🩹
