Jones mentioned Nick Markakis, so I looked it up.
2388 hits in 15 seasons, ranking 129th all-time.
129/23,000(?) players all-time.
129/23,000 = 0.0056

First time in a while I've been pumped about something I read on this sub lol.
I had a totally warped perception of Matt Barnes when he was playing in the NBA. I like this (podcast?/show?) a lot. He's legitimately a good show host and likeable guy.
Hope he keeps Harold Reynolds as a recurring guest host. Reynolds is really good. Not many people seem to be able to pull off being super engaging and energetic while also not being corny.

Yea it is pretty funny how much he was considered a hot head asshole during his tenure in the NBA to now being a super chill, positive guy post career. I dont follow the NBA super closely so idk how much of his reputation was earned vs how much of it was being misunderstood.

I had a totally warped perception of Matt Barnes when he was playing in the NBA.
I think he's talked some about that style and that persona was something that he had to adopt in order to kind of fulfill a role and keep himself in the league as someone who was (comparatively) less skilled and more of a defensive pest/role player.
But super cool chill dude now

Barnes has cleaned it up. For awhile he was like reading players' stats and career context off a prompter/monitor and sounded completely checked out like he was reading it for the first time and had no real context of what he was asking. He's much better now and seems more engaged and informed.

Only a few minutes into this but am really looking forward to it.
Matt Barnes has been doing a phenomenal job with these interviews

Yea as a fan of All the Smoke, I was super stoked when he started the dedicated baseball podcast.

Jonesy had one of my favorite podcasts. I miss it. I'm definitely giving this a listen at work tomorrow.
Thanks for posting it up.

I completely forgot he had a podcast. Jerry Coleman being apart of that made it hard to get into for me.

Yeah, that dude is really hard to listen to. I went like 6 months thinking he was the annoying announcer from Jomboy's blitzball games. Sounds just like him, anyways. Jonesy always had interesting things to say, though.

adam jones mentioning how he still follows the orioles youth programs is pretty cool
