Who else wished Samsung's large folders would be uniform with your other widgets? Is there an option to make it the same size?

Hi! Just recently got a Fold 8 with OneUi 9. The notification for Outlook is no longer distinct. It now uses the Samsung default and no longer the "new email" sound that makes Outlook emails distinct from all other notifications.

Any way to revert back to the original? Brightline for work emails is just not it.

How to manipulate an image in the gallery, I mean a filter that manipulates the entire image.

I have completely hidden the battery icon because of this. I would much rather have no idea what is the battery at than see some random% . I haven't had any issues living without knowing the battery percentage but I would prefer to see a pill.

Thats literally the BIGGEST complaint. I want the side pages BUT I want it alphabetical. Whenever I select alphabetical it puts the app tray in a vertical scroller.

Why did they even change it and who do I reach to and raise a stink with?

I started seeing this too frequently after august security patch.

Hi everyone,

I am experiencing a frustrating audio issue on One UI 8.5 and want to check if anyone else is dealing with the same bug.

The Issue:
Completely at random, the sound will completely cut out for about 3 to 6 seconds, and then it automatically comes back on its own.

Key Details:

• Frequency: It happens roughly once a day.
• Apps affected: It doesn't matter what app I am using—it happens across all apps (YouTube, music streaming, games, etc.).
• Troubleshooting tried: I have already tried clearing the system audio app caches, but the issue still persists.

Is anyone else experiencing these random 3-6 second audio drops on One UI 8.5? If you found a permanent fix or know what background process is causing this, please let me know!

I really hate this forced "feature", I tried searching for custom shortcut to its settings, nothing seems to work. Any ideas? Using S20+ running OneUI 5.1.

So I know one of the big features of this update is that you can see your call logs from other apps in the native phone app. The day I updated I toggled it on but it hasn't worked at all. Is there anything else I need to do?

Just got my Flip 7 updated to Android 17/One UI 9. First thing I did was delete the google search bar; didn't want it. But now my screens look compressed. My setting is 7x7 for the home screen, but where the search bar used to be is a large gap above the favorites bar.

I also have the same gap size at the top of the screen.

Performance hasn't suffered, but looks my screen is 9x7. How I can fix that?

So what i want to to talk about is since i got this phone it was lagging too much

Not the way you think but its start to got me annoying

Some examples:

When i got to swipe up to exit the app it took like 0.5 second to response to my command and exit the app.

The problem isn’t here. The problem is that as soon as I perform the gesture, I feel the haptic feedback, but I still have to wait 0.5 seconds for it to actually register and process the command. It might seem like something minor, but when it happens over and over again, it genuinely makes the phone feel like a cheap device.

Another issue is that the phone feels a little sluggish when I swipe left or right to switch from one app to another using the navigation bar, unlike the iPhone, where the transition honestly feels much smoother.

Sometimes it also takes a while to open a folder on the home screen. And when I want to open the Recent Apps screen by swiping the navigation bar upward, there’s also a noticeable delay before it responds. I literally have to keep my finger on the screen for what feels like half a second just waiting for the phone to respond.

And one last thing—and honestly, this is probably the biggest issue of them all—is the Quick Panel.

Look, I was on One UI 8.5 and I sideloaded the One UI 9 beta. (And yes, I know what I’m doing, and I’m fully aware of the risks and what sideloading a beta involves.) To be completely honest, these issues were already present on One UI 8.5, and they improved a little after I installed the One UI 9 beta on my phone, but they’re still there.

Did they completely disappear after installing the One UI 9 beta? No.

Another thing I’ve noticed is that the phone overheats like crazy.

It gets so hot that even when I launch a game like Fortnite—which the phone should easily be able to handle at the lowest settings and 120 FPS—it can barely run at around 10 FPS because the phone is literally boiling and sometimes it's just crashing.

Okay, okay, I’m just complaining at this point. But the question is: have you actually tried to fix or troubleshoot these issues, OP?

Yes, I’ve tried pretty much everything.

I did a completely fresh Odin flash of One UI 8.5, without restoring anything through Smart Switch, just to make sure the installation was completely clean.

I also tried monitoring which apps were consuming system resources, but there was nothing unusual.

I searched for a lot of different solutions, but nothing worked.

And honestly, all of this has made me lose faith in a company like Samsung. Having a flagship phone behave like this is ridiculous. It genuinely makes the phone feel cheap. I’ve reached the point where, when I pick up a cheap Chinese phone, it actually feels smoother. Just imagine that!!

For context, I used to have an iPhone 13 Pro, and I switched to the S24 on May 28, 2026. (It was actually my birthday that day, by the way 🥰🥰)

I thought I was upgrading, but it turned out to be a downgrade, and I honestly regret making the switch.

After updating to one UI 9 all apps do not show popups in specific categories(all).

If I disable categories, it still doesn't work, all defaults are set to show popup.

I need manually to enter each category and activate the popup.

Is there a way to solve it?
