Is there a lesser known city nationwide with a bigger collection of buildings than Winston-Salem? Winston-Salem's biggest tower out-lengths the biggest in such cities as Richmond, Memphis, Birmingham, and Salt Lake City. There are two 400+ Ft towers, and it contains the building that inspired the design of the Empire State Building. Not to mention how "memorable" or should I say "memberable" the structure of some of the buildings are.
Obviously, there are historical reasons that Winston-Salem is built this big, but in modern day, it's somewhat unbelievable that a city this forgotten is packing this large.

This development is a massive opportunity for moderates and progressives to "flood the zone", so to speak, with the massive numbers of NC voters who have long hoped to restore North Carolina politics to a place of sanity, from a place of self-interest, election tampering, criminal protection, and generally odious power and money grabbing.

This election is particularly interesting because Roy Cooper won the gubernatorial race while on the same ballot Donald Trump won North Carolina by 3.7%, defeated an incumbent governor for the first time in the stateās history since it became legal for a governor to run for another term starting in 1980, and this is the closest NC gubernatorial election ever with Roy Cooper winning by 0.22%.

NC is the only place I've lived where there are tripplet metro areas like Raleigh-Durham-Chapel Hill and Greensboro-Winston Salem-High Piont.
Interesting then how Charlotte, Concord, and Gastonia are Charlotte sprawl and not another similar regional three pointer.

Preferably less than hour from the Charlotte area and something thatās not just a bunch of high school theater kids screaming in your face š„² my friends and I went to one near Statesville last year that was outdoors and our ear drums were about to burst by the end of it

I am a student in NJ who is considering going to Western. Obviously, I am very far away so I canāt attend their open house, but from the outside, the campus looks beautiful, tuition is affordable, and its not that far away from family I have over there.
I would love to hear what people have to say about it, the good and the bad. If it helps, I want to be an English major and regardless of the college, I want to end up in North Carolina.

Where the hell are the democrats on a campaign against these amendments? We are running the most popular politicians in the state for senate, and he finally mentioned them the other day because he was specifically asked. The response: āI think people need to look carefully at these amendments because theyāre mostly protection for millionaires,ā fair enough but hardly a meaningful condemnation. Itās the same type of language in the Democratic Party website.
Both are clearly against the amendments, but there is no actual fight or push against the amendments. I see the NC democratic funded commercial about Michael Whatley being liar at least 10 times a day, and Iām sure Cooper will win by double digits, and weāre all gonna be happy to have a Dem win another statewide office. BUT we will lose these amendments because itās only small, local organizations taking up the fight against them. And that really sucks because our schools are already in disrepair, and these amendments make it impossible for counties and cities to do what the state refuses to do - fund public goods.
I could go on about how this epitomizes the democrats failed utility in politics. We will win the senate fights (which is fundamentally a short term win) and lose the amendments which will take decades to undo. Also, please donāt come here to explain how the amendments are unpopular and it would be dangerous to take this position ā that is fundamentally cowardly and doesnāt into the fact that NO ONE is talking against them on a meaningful stage.
TLDR: where the hell is any meaningful leadership against the constitutional amendments by the Democratic Party?
