The air ambulance – a Gulfstream G100 – took off from Bermuda late on Saturday, carrying a patient, a family member and a four-person crew. T

The Canadian crew were headed to Boston carrying a patient from Bermuda--and almost made it. There are so many fatal small plane accidents.

Yeah, there is truly a shocking number of small plane/helicopter crashes a year. Very few of them make national news.

Tbf this is different than most of those.

Multi engine, pressurized jet, with a seemingly professional crew. This is definitely one of less common accidents.

I’m reading this as my neighbor across the road is landing his red, white and blue commuter helicopter. Like a little Magnum PI style rig. I’ve been wondering if where I sit on my porch is far enough to not catch an errant rotor when the inevitable happens.

Whatttt? How far does he commute? He can just land at home?

I have no idea where he goes. Just that he takes off and lands a few times a week. He has like 40 acres of beautiful and idyllic land and seems to be some kind of horse boarder/trainer. Several houses and barns throughout the property.

There's neighborhoods connected to a runway in some places. People walk out of their house and hop in their plane

After hearing this story, I’m not going in a small plane ever again.

Before I left Christianity, we had a speaker come to Christian Camp, who was from Iceland (Dave Johnson) and he was with his friend flying from somewhere, and had to go through a large mountain pass within the interior of BC. Engine failed midway through the flight, and they plummeted down into some trees. Lucky for Dave, the plan crashed right in between two trees, and not head-on into the ground.

His friend died that day, but he survived, in severe pain, and I think a small part of his skull was just completely obliterated.
He was rescued and had a metal plate installed, and went through several rounds of recovery, but he survived, got to give it to him.
He’s a professional skater and speaker now, and I hope him and his family are doing good now.

Really hoping the search brings some answers soon. It must be incredibly difficult for the families waiting for any news.

Well, they found debris.

There's no question that the plane went down with all on board, at this point the only answers to find are where the wreckage is and what brought it down.

Yeah. It's highly unlikely that anyone survived. The conditions in the ocean are absolutely brutal, so I don't see any good news from this even if a passenger managed to find something to hold onto to stay above water.

I was literally telling my wife earlier today that it almost certainly crashed into the ocean and would likely be confirmed by visible debris. I hate that I was right.

I hope they can find enough evidence to figure out what happened.
