Nah this is actually crazy because the only time he saw Cam was when he first caught the ball. His eyes never looks directly in the corner until he passed and he threw it right to Cams chest lmao

Pass is still amazing, but I'm pretty sure he can track him in his peripheral during his dribble.

Jokic knows where Cam Johnson is because he knows where he isn’t

How can mirrors be real if our eyes aren't real?

100%

The court vision isn't even the amazing part, it's the logistics of this type of pass. It's so hard to throw a cross court pass under the hoop. It's a cursed area of the court and that's part of why every defense wants to force you into that location as a ball handler. This might be the best pass I've ever seen.

I'm convinced Jokic made a deal with the devil where he traded his ability to look like anything other than a stepdad who just got back from a double shift at the industrial slag factory for skill in basketball.

also someone is always in the corner.

The not looking part is not THAT impressive, you just pass it to the other corner, it's reading the defense and predicting your teammates position that's impressive, and of course being able to execute that pass

I'd say it's PRETTY FUCKING IMPRESSIVE.

Yes..Literally anyone can throw a ball to where they aren't looking...it's the whole part where that's still an open passing lane and there's someone on their team there to catch it that makes good.

Great point.

I just missed the trash can attempting this with my left over sausage. Great, now there will be ants everywhere. F u guys for saying this wasn’t difficult to pass.

If you weren't looking at the place where it landed, you successfully completed like 80% of this pass, and 80% of Jokic isn't a bad place to be.

He obviously sees him the entire time

That's trust that your teammate is going to be in the right spot.

This is phenomenal, but he knew he was gonna be in the corner. He knows the play lol

Crazy pass for sure - Cam has to be there though. Like, if he wasn’t and Jokic makes the same pass, it’d be Cam’s fault for the turnover

He saw him when Jokic was catching the ball and no one was guarding Cam.

Regardless of seeing/not seeing, there's going to be a man standing in the weakside corner 95% of the time.

After nearly a decade I'm still not used to the fact that the best passer in the NBA looks like my old building super in Chicago.

it's so funny to me that the only reason this pass is effective is that the defenders wouldn't even consider it an option so they have a moment of confusion lol.

Truly fucking absurd

Sometimes I think people go a bit overboard praising some of Jokić’s cross court passes… but this one is fucking insane. I have never seen any pass remotely like this one. He puts it on a platter, behind the back all the way across the baseline, with like 3 defenders between them?

Truly batshit insane

I physically couldn’t do this even if you gave me six months to train.

He’s an alien! Has anyone seen his navel? I don’t think so!

2

u/ace260 4h ago

yeah i did a flashy pass like this in 2k like once in like 10 years; otherwise, its a 99% turnover

u/disillusioned Suns 2h ago

I literally just said "whaaat the fuuuuck" out loud watching this clip. Only Jokic with this wild shit.
