Really? I thought it was one of the worst movies I have ever seen and I love Linney and Gere

i get that response. it was certainly a unique story. we don't get a whole lot of unique storytelling these days... especially from marvel et al.
a24 has been taking risks though.

Unique for sure. In my opinion, didn’t work, but to each their own! My wife and I both hated it despite liking horror and loving Gere but when we were talking to a friend she thought we were crazy

I think it’s good. What don’t you like about it? Just curious not trying to argue

Maybe it was partially my expectations. We love mothman and were expecting a cryptid monster adventure and instead it was just kind of a slow-burn psychological thriller but also didn’t quite work in that capacity even once my expectations settled.
I thought it was eerie and well acted but otherwise just disappointing and kinda cheesy

Fair enough. My wife can be a hard critic and she enjoyed it and said it wasn’t the best movie ever but definitely creeped her out. We watched it two weeks ago so it’s fresh in my head. She keeps saying great tragedy on the river Ohio and then I say chaapstiiick lol

Dude we watched it that recently too. I keep doing the Ingrid Cold voice at her

The Jackal

I loved that film but his Irish accent wasn’t the best.

Americans that do British accents well are far and few in between. But British and Australian actors doing American accents nail it every time. Having said that, The Jackal was a fantastic film.

Days of Heaven is his best film.
An Officer and a Gentleman is his best performance.

This is it. Everything else is okay, but here he played a villain and a good one. Great call. I was looking for this answer.

My favorite is Primal Fear, but I think his best performance is Internal Affairs. He’s such a realistic sociopath in that movie, and I wish he played the bad guy more.

The Lords of Flatbush, since got fired and wasn't in it. 2nd choice: Hachi: A dog's Tale.

My heart says Chicago, my mind says Primal Fear.
Gotta go with the latter, lead role after all.

Michael with John Travolta

That's not Richard Gere...its William Hurt who co-stars with John Travolta in Michael.
