This is such a tame thing, but the way it is filmed makes me think of horror movies about rogue AIs

I mean we're on the internet watching videos of other people tripping out cause their smart devices are doing weird shit when we're not looking...

The horror movies practically write themselves.

FWIW "rogue AI" could entail a system that just bugs out. To a computer system there might not be meaningful difference between "displays wrong time" and, say, I dunno, "displays wrong CO2 level" or something.
