Ruined by Technology When we’re not looking, Alexa displays the wrong time. I finally caught her on video.

That looks like a lock screen to me. Is it possible someone to pranking you by setting the lock screen to look like it's the clock but is just always showing 7:00?

I have an Alexa show, and mine will show 11:53 even when it’s not, and it’s thrown me off a few times

Turn off (ask it to disable) the Alexa AI+. It will go back to the version before this was implemented and work as intended.

Wait you can disable AI?? I noticed it got sooo slow once they switched her to AI. I have the original echo

Its also annoying af because it asks weird follow-up questions because llms are designed to keep the conversation going

Which is crazy because they can simply be prompted not to and they'll usually follow those instructions. Tell ChatGPT it's controlling a light switch, and to reply to user commands with "lights on" or "lights off" or "error", and no other answers are allowed. It'll do it.
