That fork looks quite special. I take it that the design close to the tines was original andnot added by you?
Edit: I now see that it is the end of the handle folded back. Very nice touch!

Thanks. No it’s stainless steel.

That makes it even more impressive! Also very creative, have never seen something like this before and the grain of the wood really compliments it.

Is the beak made from two spoons welded together? It’s hard to tell if it’s two spoons or not. Fantastic bird!

That is a solid piece of repurposing, and the texture on the spoon bowl wings gives it a really clean feeder-bird shape. The whole scrap metal sculpture has a great natural silhouette. I'm a big fan of this OP

That’s beautiful. I wish I could look at simple objects and envision what they could be. And then put it together. Oh yeah, I’m not an artist.

Love making these dudes! Nice job. Did you cut out the lace piece or did it come that way. Would also love to know your polishing routine? I struggle with scorch marks from the welds or otherwise tarnishing the cutlery. Yours looks pristine.

Lace piece was handle of a cake fork. I have a rotary tool with Velcro but that i fit diff coarseness of sandpaper to working my was to 5000 grit then I got a variable append angle grinder I attach a big polishing disc too. Then a v small one for the rotary tool to do the smaller areas with some metal polishing paste

Must confess, I usually hate these ‘craft fair’ cutlery things but this is so skillfully done it’s gorgeous. Has a Victorian sci-Fi or steampunk vibe to it. I’d see it flying in the movie, ‘The Golden Compass’.

That certainly isn't some normal rustic metalwork yard art! You are very creative and have a great eye. Nice work.
