Excellent!

I'd say Slay the Spire is more a collectable card/deck builder style game than a TBS. Awesome game, love playing it.

For those that want to give Factorio a go, a common issue for lowend systems during late game/large builds is the collision mechanics of the train system can cause a lot of CPU overhead. Switching from the trains to the Logistics Robots helps with that problem.

I'll split the difference with ya. Its got the card thing, but its not really a card versus card game, like a true collectible card game. But the hybrid nature and the card collection of strats makes it worth mentioning.

It definitely pulls from a few different genres.

More than 50% of the list is different this year than last year. Some games like TF2 and Dwarf Fortress are just well loved, and probably will be for a while... Easy to start, hard to master. The price is right.

I also try to put a little effort into showing which games can run on Linux, which is small overall section of our sub, but being a free OS, can be very helpful for people on low spec gear. And since the list changes, that may be helpful to someone looking for a new game. Same for Mac users.

With these two lists, you've got plenty of good gaming ahead of you.

Minecraft can kinda sustain itself with the modded scene. It's really great imo, especially when you get into the weirder modpacks.

I would not call modded minecraft "low-end". Most modern modpacks require a lot of RAM and a beefy CPU to run well, putting it (in my opinion) solidly outside of the "low-end" category.

Too bad my current notebook can't even run Warframe at 800x600 at stable 60. What a sad sacrifice for a studying.

Low End.

Best comment, lol. Adventure mode is pretty low tho.

I'm sorry but I'm triggered over seeing palaidns and tf2 as arena fps when they are clearly hero fps

I mean, hero shooters are just the rebirth of arena with specialties. Quake and TF started this, and are truly arena at heart. :) This year if they make the list, I will ensure we label them as hero shooters for you.

I definitely encourage you to add to the list and participate in the vote next year, these games only reflect what was voted on by the sub.
