Upgrade the i3 to a i5. I got a i5 6500T in a mini pc and it runs ps2 like butter. I also got 32gb of ddr4 in it.

Mind you a 6th Gen cpu will run ps2 at native resolution 1x. So no upscale. But idk what a 9th gen i5 could do

What kind of case do you have? Free PCE-i slot? Full height or low profile? With a proper GPU, that PC could actually play those games. But as is, no way. Your iGPU uses slow system ram.. it's around GT 730 performance on a good day. it can play really old games fine though. Try F.E.A.R. and System Shock 2. OG Skyrim.

No. 120MB of VRAM is insanely low that even a PS1 emulator will struggle and a PS2 emulator will simply not run, so forget about Resident Evil and DMC games. Detroit: Become Human is also a big no.

It isn't 120MB of VRAM it also uses the system's RAM so it can go up to half of the system ram sometimes.

If it can get over 1gb of VRAM then PS1 games are playable, likely RE1, 2 and 3, I still think PS2 emulation will require more tinkering for the right performance settings to for example run DMC 1, 2 and specially 3 since PS2 emulation tends to be more unstable with low specs/minimum specs.

But remember that it's system RAM which is still slower than dedicated VRAM. It has to travel through a very narrow pipeline and will be extremely slow whilst the iGPU waits for it. These are modern titles that need fast VRAM on hand.

this one can at least play ps1 games ps2 games? sort of if he were emulating but pc ported old games of resident evil and devil may cry he definitely can

Older RE titles would run at 720p on Low/Med settings, newer ones might have to be turned down to low they are pretty optimised and run pretty well. DMC 5 might run on low settings at around 30 FPS but Detroit become human forget it. It needs a dedicated GPU and will stutter and be nearly unplayable.
