Freshly hatched from larval state, they are bright and wet looking. The colour deepens and spots appear after the shell hardens

Thanks for the information! I had never seen a freshly hatched ladybug before, so I was curious about its unusual color. I learned something new today. 🐞😊

One summer my yard was overrun with them 🥰They were everywhere, so I saw a lot of them fresh hatched. I also had, another year, pink lady bugs, that were smaller.

🤣Ya the caragana hedge was full of aphids lol the ladybugs were feasting hard 🥰
