Little lost baby
Found a ladybug indoors and wasn’t sure what to do I gave him shelter with the few leaves I had lying around my porch and some sugar water on a napkin….idk what I am doing but hoping to provide him some peace while he continues the nap I woke him from to put him outside. Anything else I can do to make him more comfortable or is this enough hospitality until he decides to leave?

What is the best temperature for them? Here is into the 50s F. I couldn’t bear to put one outside. (No offense intended, honestly!)

I read it’s dangerous to them inside as it is dry and too warm and as long as it’s not freezing temperatures they are safe outside. We’re in the 60s before sunset and I also read 30s are the lowest they will tolerate. I also don’t believe in keeping them inside because that would be getting in the way of the natural order and there’s no food for him here.

Oh gotcha! I guess you’re right! I hope we can see it as it lives, but it’ll probably use those wings…they never stay around too long!

I hope he flies off! I want him to live even though he seems to be on his own. I wish him all the best and just wanted to help while he was here

He’s still on my porch napping his little brain out. He has moved to be over the leaf instead of under :) seems comfy

He’s not lost, he’s just on an undercover covert mission! Put that little guy on the nearest plant with aphids, and he’ll go full John Wick mode on your garden pests within five seconds.
