Question Sacramento trip
Hey admins feel free to delete this if it isn’t allowed 😁
I’m coming to Sacramento from New Zealand to put myself through the pain of watching a Kings game in person, and I’m looking for some recommendations on accomodation, food, and attractions for the time we’re not watching Kings ball. Thanks guys!

Question Every podcast is talking about it. This Hot Mic Situation is so Embarrassing
Why is this team always involved in some bullshit? We are the most unserious sports franchise. The Big 3 is more polished than this team.

Question Grizzlies have to waive 5 players, do we want anyone with the last roster spot?
My favorite would be either Kris or Hendricks

Question If the Kings are at or above .500 30 games in, how long does Doug Christie last?
Completely delusional, but we’re still offseason posting for another couple weeks.
See: Mike Brown, Mike Malone (hell, Rick Adelmam. Different owner, same vein)

Question Would Jordan Hawkins be a nice pickup to play and develop next to Acuff?
He was the 14th pick in 2023 draft and he played pretty well that first year with the Pelicans

Question Best way to watch Kings this season 2026-2027!
Anyone know what is the best way to watch the Kings this season?
I feel like all I would need is NBC SPORTS or Peacock?
ESPN2 is broadcasting 1 preseason game.
What do you all have?

Question If Acuff ends up having a career like Ty Lawson how would you feel?
Ty Lawson peaked as a 16-17ppg 8-9ast floor general who excelled at rim pressure and finding cutters and his bigs around the rim.
Putting aside his personal troubles after he left Denver how would you feel if Acuff ended up similarly placed in the league landscape? Is this a fair return for the 7th pick?
Watching Ty Lawson games recently he stands out as an underrated and forgotten offensive stud.

Question Who in the Sacramento era was the closest to having a case for MVP?
Remember that MVP is a regular season award so maybe Domas in ‘23 has it?

Question If you’re Perry, what do you do about coaching this summer?
Extend Christie so that theres no uncertainty and no lame duck coaching year
Rip the band-aid off and just hire the long term coach now.
Give Christie the year to prove himself, but secretly intend to hire someone else next year.
Give Christie the year to prove himself, and earnestly consider the idea of him being long term

Question The last GREAT Kings defender?
This came up in another thread, but who would you consider the last GREAT defender who played for the Kings?
It can't be as far back as Christie, can it?

Question Kings Sideline Reporter
They have none. Kayte moved over to the analyst position 5-years ago and they've never filled the sideline role (im sure partially because they are being cheap and don't want to pay anyone). The Kings are one of only a handful of teams that don't have a reporter on their local broadcasts.
But I feel like sideline reporters do add something. Injury updates, stories on players etc. Also a good opportunity to add some youth to what feels like an older kings broadcast (Mark Jones is mid 60s and Kayte's nearing 50).
What says you all?

Question What if Acuff had played for Kelvin Sampson
You wonder what sort of defensive tenacity Kelvin Sampson would have instilled in a guy like Acuff (who we all see as a lost cause defensively).
Sampson's guys like Emanuel Sharp, Kingston Flemings, Marcus Sasser, Jamal Shead and Quentin Grimes are all guards who are dogs defensively. And they don't have these exceptional wingspans or other elite metrics. It's just the pitbull mentality that Sampson teaches (and the insane practice habits) that turn them into who they are as pros. Sharp is the perfect example of this. 6'3" with a 6'3" wingspan but he plays with a ton of force, where a guy like Acuff seems allergic to physicality on the defensive end.
At Houston if you don't defend you don't play.

Question Anyone going opening night in LA?
Where my fellow lions at? I joined this mess the year after the beam team. I live in SD and just happened to be dating a chick who lived in Sactown and caught a Kings game live and was instantly hooked. Best crowd ever and loved the stadium.
I was a former laker fan during the early to mid Kobe days before I just dropped watching bball for over a decade. Quite the change to say the least joining this fandom but I didn’t buy my monk jersey for 12 bucks thanks to someone on this sub for nothing

Question Judgement free zone: did anyone think Oladipo was the same person as Olajuwon?
Like you hear that Oladipo is coming back to the league and the first thing you're gonna think is "ain't that guy 85 years old by now?" They're definitely different players, but similar names
