Love. They’re all three great, but the girl in the middle is really embodying the swag

She's not as technically strong, but the one in the black shirt is having so much fun, it just makes me smile.

My toxic trait is thinking I could do this without shattering my knees

Bhangra (what they dance) has a lot of moves that are not as bad for knees. You just gotta avoid the ones that go low. For mid-depth squat ones I recommend you work on first building supporting muscle around the knees, and you'd be set. Those moves, be it low or mid, are not the most regular in your run-of-the-mill bhangra: the low squats and even the mid-ones are flashier and more common in choreographies or situations where you have a lot of space and visibility.
Bhangra typically is entirely mood-based and 'random', if you will; you know the base set of moves and you shuffle them per your vibe to match the song you're dancing to. It's extremely freestyle and fun. You can keep it to just a move-set that works for you, and limit the range of the movements too as needed.
For a gentler style there is giddha which is a traditional Punjabi dance style for women. A lot less jumps there.
Source: I taught bhangra for a while, it's great fun.

This is so cool, love everyone watching pumping them up, especially those two at the back who knew what was coming and you could see them getting excited.
I was a little worried that the one with her pants dragging on the ground would get her feet caught up at times but she was a machine!

My goodness I want to be able to dance like that and not look and feel like an idiot! I’m not jealous at all, why would you think that?
The swag is immeasurable

u/Pr0gamersocks 23h ago
White is earth. Green is air. Black is fire.
Dont ask me to explain. It is how is it is.

u/n6mub 6h ago
You're on to something there! Black: 🔥 unrestrained, "chaotic," bold. Green: 🌬 light, smooth, almost gentle (?) but... White I'm going with water: 🌊 strong, sinuous, and she's got that 〰️ f l o w 〰️

u/Pr0gamersocks 6h ago
I went with earth because her movements feel strong , grounded , purposeful. Like a haka. But water definitely fits too.

This is a nice place. If you can't act like a civilized human being, you can't be here.
We do not allow:
- Being a jerk. This includes racism, misogyny, misandry, misgendering, anti LGBTQ+, ageism, etc.
- Harassment
- Trolling or sealioning
- Threats of any kind
- Abusive behavior
- General assholery. If you're at the end of the list and asking what rule you broke, yeah, it's this one.

The rules were to remind you not to do casual racism. Take some time off so you can read them fully.

This is Bhangra dance, which is a lot more cardio intense than other dance styles in India.

I can say that I would definitely not be worried about my knees … because I’d fall straight on my arse within about 10 seconds.

Seems like mixing hip-hop with 'traditional Indian' (excuse my ignorance) works like a charm.
Not sure if those mixes always work.
Now i wanna see people mixing something with traditional Schuhplattler

u/Apprehensive_Flow99 17h ago
It def does. Was done a lot in the 2000s. Hip hop did appreciate (and appropriate ) some Asian music/ fashion

Okay, I've watched this 3 times to be the judge of all three dancers. I'm Joking, chill.
Here's is my synopsis: those three women right there, absolutely nailed that and the choreography was brilliant. In no part of my lifetime would I be able to do that even if I was tripping over my pant legs early in the morning trying to get ready for work. I say Bravo and kudos to them for being talented at that!! 👏👏👏👏👏
Edited: apparently the lead is a dance instructor and choreographer, which explains why this is so awesome. I still wouldn't be able to do it, even if someone taught me lol.

Man it takes a LOT of energy to look this graceful when dancing to Punjabi beats I ll tell you that.
