can not create Java Virtual Machine

I'm trying to run VosViewer, but it says:

Java Virtual Machine Launcher

---------------------------

Error: Could not create the Java Virtual Machine.

Error: A fatal exception has occurred. Program will exit.

I use a laptop with AMD, 64-bit, and have installed the latest Java (1.8.0_503_b01). Also, I have set the environment into 4000MB of memory.

Do you have any clue how to handle it?

Try to use the "other systems" option. You'll get a generic jar instead of the exe for Windows. Then start it from the command line that usually gives you a bit more output to work with. Good luck.
