yeah that is pretty crazy. different killings equal different sentencing.

Ok.... Why deviate from the conversation on this murderer on occupied land? Gotta love whataboutism

If he’s found guilty, hang him

give him to Japan so he gets their death penalty treatment

Of course he should be tried by Japan

should be automatic death sentence for anyone who murders an innocent civilian in a host country, especially if you're in the military.

"Automatic" sentences for anything are a moronic idea, just look at the US where mandatory minimum sentences led to overcrowded prisons and entrenched criminal milieus, but it's especially moronic for the death penalty for well-known reasons like its irreversibility in case of a (not particularly rare) error.

  1. Yell 'not all soldiers' and loudly decry the prejudice against US soldiers
  2. Blame the Communist Party and the previous governor for framing the soldier
  3. Denounce people for politicizing and exploiting tragedy, you know, like they did when a girl died in that boat accident

He should be executed but I doubt that’ll happen

Nothing will happen, he will be sentenced by US, Japan has no justification to sentence US military personnel

American occupation forces are effectively immune to Japanese law.

lol wumao.

Have you heard of SOFA?

He’s going to trial and will be sentenced and imprisoned & then jailed again once he’s released from Japanese prison. He isn’t getting out for a long time if ever.

law is law, americans have always gotten off.

Girard got zero jail time, Issac hurt got his entire sentence commuted, Alkonis got released as soon as they could lol

He's right. This isn't the 1st time US military personnel misbehaving in Japan.

Pavlov reaction. Every chinese opinion brought down to wumao or CPC shill. Sickening attitude.

I don't know if that covers murder, exactly, but they sure act that way when it comes to basically everything else. US military on leave in Japan are even worse than the worst "US tourist" stereotypes.

its a historic trend, Girard got zero jail time, Issac hurt got his entire sentence commuted, Alkonis got released as soon as they could lol

She made no such public statement of outrage a few days ago when a Japanese man threw his children off of a sixth-floor balcony.

Crazy murderers appear in every country. Another country's military killing your own citizen is a much larger international concern.

Few things are more outrageous than parents murdering their children. Takaichi is just exploiting the Okinawa murder to promote her anti-foreigner agenda. It’s a cynical political ploy.

Well from what I seen of her Instagram and posts she was very fond of military guys but she doesn’t deserve death for anything of that. Poor girl had her life taken away.
