The key problem is they will know the president is to blame, however they completely ignore the fact that by just caving into every single one of rambling demands is the reason they are having problems so the actual thing they need to blame is their own spinelessness.

Complaining trump is not lowering prices (when has a republican ever done that as an actual policy and not a happy accident?) and the house and the senates refusal to actually do their jobs.

These are all self inflicted wounds and all they can do is ignore the actual problem.

They could have voted for impeachment during the last impeachment hearings. Or initiated them now. They’re complicit.

No, Republicans stood by on Jan 6 and did nothing, and opposed any hearings, prosecutors, and reports that came out as a result. Not only that, but they could stop it all right now, but don't, and voted against impeachment every time. They can get fucked.

They're not done. It's all they have. They will be with this guy until the end.

Trump will make sure they aren’t done with him until the day we get the One Big Beautiful Obituary.

No they are not. They are Trump, no one is going to forget that.

u/LazyZealot9428 1d ago

God forbid they should blame themselves

7

u/Ch1ndit 1d ago

Themselves??

7

u/stdoubtloud 1d ago

Themselves. They'll have themselves to blame. As repulsive a being as Trump is, he is only where he is because of his enablers and supporters. A blemish on the surface of a cancerous diseased whole.

6

u/Bonti_GB 1d ago

Themselves, because they’ve proven that they are all spineless scum.

u/kowwalski 1d ago

Yeah they’re not. Enough with those clickbait headlines. They haven’t been, they are not, and won’t be done with him. They’re too deep into it and they won’t accept the truth now.

Imagine being "irritated" that the president has started a war that is destroying the country's economy and is unraveling decades worth of diplomacy to forge ties with our (former) allies.

Blame themselves

Chomo traitor GOP fucks.

5

u/greenman5252 1d ago

Themselves. All of this is 100% on Republicans, they made their choices and acted on them.

u/wassona 1d ago

Yeah, blame themselves. But they won’t. Too much arrogance and zero self awareness.

The US President has cleared his White House diary to concentrate on the midterm elections. Trump regards himself as “the closer”, the guy who can seal the deal with voters. While spineless Republicans fear losing their shirts on 3 November, Trump told Time magazine he was ready to fight.

“We’ll do okay if I campaign, and I intend to,” he said. “If I campaign…you don’t give me enough credit. When I campaign, I give people a lot.” He has just embarked on a 32-day swing through at least 17 states, an impressive schedule for the 80-year-old President.

Rallies are his comfort zone, where he can do the Trump jig to disco hits like YMCA and thrill to the sound of Pavarotti belting out Nessun Dorma, with its promise of “Vincero” (“I will win”). But Trump’s name is not on the congressional ballot. Some Republican lawmakers would prefer him to keep his nose out of their races, but they lack the courage to say it to his face.

On Thursday, Trump was at a truck plant in Texas, in a bid to shore up Ken Paxton’s campaign for Senate. This state should be an easy win for Republicans with their ultra-Maga candidate, but James Talarico, his Democratic opponent, is narrowly ahead in the polls.

On stage, Trump made fun of Paxton. “He can be a pain in the ass sometimes, I’ll be honest. Is he here, by the way? Oh, there he is. I didn’t know if he was here. I don’t care!” He has previously trashed the Republican nominee as a poor dresser and “not the best-looking guy I’ve ever seen”. This trolling was probably funnier if you were there.

Privately, however, Paxton would appear to be seething with Trump. According to the New York Times, the candidate was caught on audio at a closed-door donor meeting complaining that the Republican party’s midterm convention in Dallas, Texas, last month was a bust.

“Do you feel like he’s a little bit of a drag?” Paxton was asked about an unspecified person, thought to be the President. He then went on to talk about the impact of Trump’s convention. “So, to be honest with you,” he replied, “The numbers – when we did that convention – it dropped our numbers. Everybody’s numbers dropped.”

Paxton was right. According to RealClearPolitics’s polling averages, the Democrats benefited from a 2.3 point bounce at the close of the GOP convention on 10 September , rising from 48.1 per cent to 50.4 per cent support, with the Republicans languishing on just over 42 per cent – where they remain stuck to this day. The $40m convention was dubbed the “Trumpapalooza” because it was all about the President and his Vice-President, JD Vance. Lawmakers who felt obliged to show up for loyalty’s sake griped on the quiet that it was a distraction that took them away from campaigning on local issues in their home states.

If Republicans lose the House and Senate (the latter is still a stretch for Democrats), they will know who to blame. Privately, reports say, Republicans are becoming increasingly irritated with the President. With his failure to make lives more affordable and the war in Iran, Republicans fear they will be punished at the ballot box come November for Trump’s mistakes. Many are done with Trump, but whether they will have the nerve to do so during the lame-duck years of his presidency remains in doubt. “Can’t live with him, can’t live without him” has always defined the relationship between the Grand Old Party and Trump.

The private sentiments of plenty of Republican congressmen are akin to those of broadcaster Tucker Carlson, whose personal texts were disclosed as part of Dominion Voting System’s legal battle with Fox News over whether the 2020 election was rigged.

Themselves!! That’s the answer right?!?

3

u/fuzzy_one 1d ago

Themselves, for not doing their fucking job.

3

u/merrysunshine2 1d ago

When they publicly oust him I’ll believe it.

2

u/swcollings 1d ago

Themselves, for being unprincipled charlatans?

2

u/DocCEN007 15h ago

They're all to blame. They can't backtrack now as if they weren't with him, cheering, every step of the way off the edge of the cliff. And they will absolutely go along with him when he refuses to accept this November's election results. Johnson has been refusing to seat Dems in a timely manner for years now, and he's faced no consequences. Flush these turds.

u/-6h0st- 1d ago

Biden?

1

u/idc2011 1d ago

They will blame Biden or Obama.

2

u/Organic_Witness345 1d ago

The answer is themselves. Trump doesn’t happen without all his Republican enablers. There is zero daylight between Trump and every elected GOP official in the United States.

u/z44212 1d ago

Republicans didn't even have to take exception to any policies. All they had to do is say, "corruption is bad." They can't even do that.

I'm not even asking for, "please follow the law we all passed," because we know they didn't mean what they said. They know Trump raped children, and they're okay with that. Just take exception to breaking the law.

1

u/Maine302 1d ago

They can blame him all they want, but they won't stop following the Pied Piper right over the cliff.

1

u/willson78 1d ago

Themselves is the obvious answer

2

u/seanmonaghan1968 1d ago

Yeah I am going to go with they will keep voting for trump

“They know who to blame”? Themselves, right? They have supported, covered for and enabled him all the way along. He couldn’t have gotten away with all this shit if they’d done their jobs.

Looks like elon is gonna have to ‘work his magic’ again like in 2024.

1

u/paperbackgarbage 1d ago

If only, for the GOP, there was a way to affect change.

Themselves.
